Lada is back!!!!! It's got like NOTHING, no nav, no air bags, stick shift etc I will fucking smuggle one to have a new daily. So I took a nice long cruise with Mrs today, and I have to humble brag, light on the humble. So we got back and we have this nice comfy driving road but I said fuck it and kept it deep on the revs.

We got back I flashed the AVG mpg.. 7.4. Yup. My kitty likes to drink.

Anyone ever call you a commie?

Took my project beetle for a maiden voyage after some test runs and adjustments. Ran great until it didn’t. Transmission locked up in a parking lot, and I had to get AAA to flatbed it home. Hopefully I can pop it into neutral from the transmission fill plug, and it’s not something more serious.

I remember looking at prices for NSXs back in 2010 and remembered I saw one for $30k. At that time I thought to myself that it was a bit high. But to be fair I couldn't afford it back then and can't now either so it doesn't really make much of a difference.

Dorothy Sebastian with a Model J Duesenburg, circa ~1929.

Why were cars during that era so bulky and large?

Really shitty internal combustion efficiency compared to modern cars meaning that if you wanted something reasonably fast, it had to have a ridiculously long engine like a straight eight (like that Doozy) or a V-12.

Basically every 80s, 90s, and some early 2000s Japanese bubble era sports car has that effect. The nostalgia effect is super strong. It's a second bubble for the bubble cars funnily.

It's exactly like this, in its prime at least:

I paid 200 for the rusted out chassis and I got three free rats included. A steal if I do say so myself.
It's a unibody car so where the rust is located and the extent of it is pretty critical. The early Mustangs and Cougars leak in the cowl. You'll need to find some old dude who knows how to fix it. It involves cutting out the cowl vent area (the area of the body behind the hood) welding the cowl up and welding the vent area back in properly. Most people don't bother doing it, but I'd rather not spend a shit ton of money on a car to have it piss on my feet any time it rains. The hardest part is finding the old dude who knows what the fuck you are talking about and is willing to do it now days.
ik a Mexican guy that LS swapped his Miata. So I get the envy
I know a faggot that LS swapped a Miata. I don't really envy him though. He's a good dude and a good friend, but there is no amount of LS swapping that could convince me to take it up the ass.

If you had ever driven a Model A Ford you would know that they weren't typically. That Duce was basically today's Lamborghini. Big car for big engine and

BringATrailer hasn't helped this at all. Now everyone with a clapped out EJ Civic thinks they're sitting on gold.
They don't call it BringAButler for nothing!

I blame Grand Turismo

I'm a bit too drunk but goodwood was awesome, the new record car was 39.xx and fucking elec with TWO sucker fans.

I cried tears of angry joy. Also if you look goodwood had a parking lot for "cool cars" and PLEB cars. I cracked up it had some sneak ins like "any" corvette but only v8 mustangs.. where a SVO is mad cool vs a TPI vette with less HP.
