Yeah. Most of the Persians in the West are Christians that fled the Islamic regime. Even in that article linked earlier, I wouldn't call that a protest because they're marching in support of the Western powers. Whenever you see the Persian flag with a lion on it, it's indicative that the bearer supports the old monarchy.

Watching just how utterly overwhelmed Venezuela and now Iran is makes me wonder how Canada would fare if Trump decided to regime change them. "Elbows Up" can only get you so far, and it's clear no boots will be on the ground for longer than necessary, so Iraq-style guerilla war is out. Jeets are not known for their winter warfare, so retaliatory poo invasion is out.

We probably wouldn’t notice it happen because it’d just be that quick.

Venezuela was what, 30 minutes tops on another continent. Iran is on the other side of the planet and the bombings will continue until morale improves.

Canada? Everything they’d need to take is within 1-3 hours tops of the American border. The only reason I’d see this kind of operation even approaching the 24 hour mark is just how shit the infrastructure is outside of Metro areas (and honestly, even within some Metro areas…)

Longer in time than Venezuela (we are a stupidly large country even factoring in where the population centres are) but less than Iran. Plus it would come with absolutely no air defence on our part, absolutely no army deployment, and lots of boomers suddenly realizing they love the Stars and Stripes so much that their previous guerrilla warfare comments and fighting to the death with the lives of Millennials/Zoomers were clearly taken wrongly. Might compete with 1940s Denmark though.

Toronto traffic will be the finest line of defense standing between the US and casually conquering Canada on foot. It could take full hours for the US infantry to remove all the vehicles from the 407 and secure it for military traffic. Burlington stands committed to keeping the invaders, and anyone else really, from entering Toronto.

I don't think America will want to pay tolls so they will just take 401 instead.
