I lost my job last week, and I’m trying to mentally adjust to the thought I may never find another job due to ageism in tech.

I don't know about "completely capitulated", it was like almost 50/50. Some of them are trying to explain away that the proposal was rejected for being poorly worded, but that conversion therapy bill was retarded to begin with. The female Conservative MP from BC who spoke against it allegedly worked for Egale, which is basically the Canadian SPLC. So yeah, I guess if you're a conservative who is in a party that has social justice freaks as representatives you pretty much have completely capitulated more or less.

I met a Nordic guy in Japan when I visited there years ago. He was fully fluent and worked in a bank and he told me basically the same thing. "You will never be Japanese".

The irony here is that the canadian right wing is just the american right wing lmfao. Tucker Carlson probably has more influence in canada than all of our "RW influencers" combined (especially now that jordan peterson is irrelevant.). On top of that, canadians pretty much only consume american media and news lmfao.

Yeah, you're definitely not wrong on that as depressing as it is to acknowledge.

The only RW influencer/voice I really find worth giving the time to watch nowadays is Moose On the Loose (David Simieritsch) for his Carney connection chart & similar autistic data scrawling undertakings, and even he still gets dragged into preaching for a lot of American RW style talking points; Drumpf is a patriot, he's compromised by Epstein but it's unwillingly/not as bad as others, Musk is a philanthropic genius with the common man's best interests in mind, etc
