Funny stuff going on in the hinterlands of Alberta.

The ghey “stay in Canada” petition showed up at the local grocery store for exactly one hour today, so the lib in my community telegram chat tried getting people to drive for twenty minutes to go sign the stupid thing.

All I asked was “why bother” and it was on. The libs are unhinged. There are a few in the area of course, usually it doesn’t matter.

Next week the APP will be in town for a proper small town evening presentation- local hall, refreshments, speakers, volunteers being organized. There’s a proper way to do these things, and showing up Monday from 12:00 to 13:00 at the local grocery store with no warning ain’t it.

A lot more local interest in the APP meeting. Long term residents also know who Lukaszyk is, and are not impressed.

It’s hard to say. Out here it’s wildly popular. AB is basically 3 fairly evenly weighted political blocs: Edmonton, Calgary, and Rural AB.

Most provinces have a city or two that completely swamps the rural areas, it’s not quite like that here (yet). In fact, most of the UCP MLAs are rural so there’s only so much bullshit the cities can pull, before the rural MLAs start pushing back.

Things are getting pretty radical out here, we have identified that Canada is not our friend, and in fact is happy to hurt us and our way of life. All the appeals to “bbbbut you’ll have to set up your own passport office” are laughable.

There is a feeling that if it’s going to happen we need to do it now before we get demographically swamped.

We are also aware that it’s going to be incredibly difficult even if we “win” as there are incredibly well funded, powerful interests who prefer the status quo. Carney was in the UK for Brexit, I’m sure he’s learned a few new ways to screw us over, not to mention China and India. Ironically the combination of a sympathetic White House and the last gasp of the heritage Albertans means it really is do-or-die.

I’m sure there’s a lot more pro-Canada feelings in the cities but I don’t have a good read on what’s going on there.

The entire city of Edmonton went NDP orange during Danielle Smith's last provincial election. Calgary was about half & half. Just imagine how many jeets have poured in since.

Even if there was a possibility of a fair process & ballot question, there's no way the rural votes are going to win out over the invader, commie, boomer & normie ones.
