This is not a good thing. Slaves actually do useful work, while all the Muslims do is chain-smoke cigarettes, guzzle coffee, and fuck each other's nine-year-old daughters.
It's the same with the other clean/wealthy petrostates like Qatar and Kuwait: the useless fucks literally cannot run their own countries. That does depend somewhat on the region; India is a huge place, and while some food is very much as you describe, other stuff is quite good.
Some Muslim countries are: the ones which were fortunate enough to be sitting on large reserves of useful black sludge, like Saudi Arabia, which, as you correctly wrote, use Indians and southeast Asians as slave labour, Russian women as sex slaves, and Western engineers and architects to run their petrostate.
