Hello again, here's some fun news stories from my local town last month.
This first one is good but the reason as to why is bad because from what I recall it was to show that indigenous people are being discriminated when it will most likely show the opposite that they are more likely to commit crimes, same shit happened to black people.

This one is also funny, youll know why lol

This last one is stupid and a waste of tax dollars because it will end up permanently locked again due to either fires or drug abuse as its close to the welfare center lol

As a bonus mcdonalds is promoting Jewish propaganda to children in happy meals here lol.

I don't know why people so often make statements like this or act like giving away parts of the country to the US is something good and/or desirable. It's literal cuckold talk. I suppose I'd understand (but obviously not endorse) it if the person is some third worlder who just wandered in and doesn't have any roots, but stuff like this is embarrassing if it's meant with any sort of sincerity.
The Mariah Carey bit should have clued you in, but all jokes aside:
I stand by the fact that annexation would be bad for us and make America look even worse in the international scene. I personally have no interest in letting the Americans take over my country, and iirc the last time it came to blows, we nearly burnt down the White House.

Meanwhile, the right-wing Americans jerking themselves off to their fantasy of annexing Canada should be yet another reminder that for all of the relatively recent talk of not wanting to interfere with the rest of the world, they're sure quick goon to the idea of doing it.

What would you say with regards to this. Trump does have a point, if we can't survive without taking advantage of the US economy and cheap economic handouts from the US that they would charge other countries premium for, are we really even a country at this point?

Thats ignoring all the liberals and jeets destroying whatever culture we have, non-withstanding.

I don't think the answer is annexation; but when it comes to dissolving trade barriers, ending the oligopoly in Canada, and basically dissolving the Canadian economy into the US one, but keeping the political institutions separate;

I honestly don't see any strong arguments against this at this point, other than jeets maybe flooding into the US. Unless youre a Rogers-Bell-Loblaw modern family compact fan, etc.

It used to be that 'we have to protect Canadian businesses because they keep Canadians employed, housed, alive' etc.

But in turning our country into an economic zone for Indians and the ultra rich, none of that is true any longer, if it ever was.

Id love to see American industry up north, American businesses that actually run better and more competitively, and perhaps some deregulation on the stranglehold within the Canadian economy currently.

I do somewhat agree with his point about our economy, which is why I said that I'm glad that he's talking shit to them and I hope it makes them get their (politicians and liberal/Liberal voters) heads out of their asses. What I agree on is that we're very reliant on them which shouldn't be that surprising considering we border them, trade with them and have about a tenth of their population. I don't agree with the framing that the US is being victimized (something that the US government would never dream of doing to anyone anywhere ever) though. Apparently we're insignificant enough to be the 51st state (Israel got a demotion apparently,) but also we "rip them off" at the rate of a tenth of a trillion dollars annually? Sure.

My main point of contention remains with those who some sort of pro-annexation. Firstly with cuckold Canadians for obvious reasons, and secondly from a subset of Americans who show their true nature, which is to stab you in the back when they're high on the euphoria of thinking that the world is theirs and that the world owes them it. I'm probably in a position where both sides don't like where I'm at because I have issues with both of them. "[Country] first" is a message that I support for everyone sans talks of imperialism; Canada's politicians should adopt that mindset rather than being stupidly contrarian to the good points that are made.

She was always a libby lib but she’s ready to go commit some hate crimes now.
It seems everyone learns this lesson the hard way. The silver lining of so many jeets is that now every Canadian has had to personally deal with the consequences of their presence - so the media can't mediate their perception of them as much. The lesson is learned, but the damage is done.

I miss when we had a Canadian PM like Chretien. He was fucking nuts.

I also like that he told Americans to fuck off in the early 2000s. He was more conservative than modern conservatives, despite being liberal
Here’s the actual news report covering this. He was a cool PM.

Except that Canada doesn't rip off the US. All the successful Canadian companies on the TSX are all near if not outright monopolies. Where there entire business model is price gauging Canadians.

I propose a split of Canada. the blue regions become America (the darker the colour the more likely), green remains independent and red gets controlled by China

american industry doesn't exist and almost all of it is just made overseas.

american businesses aren't well run either, they just get to free ride off the USD as the world's reserve currency

deregulation has a point, but usually that will just end up being canadians will be on the business end of american extractive industries.

I don't think it helps much that a majority of Canadians live 1-2 hours of the border anyway, as well as mostly being queued into American politics more so than there own.
It's really difficult to pay attention to Canadian politics, in my opinion. There really aren't good alternatives, especially with Bernier selling out to pajeets like we saw (not that I ever really liked him much anyway). The same is true in America, as Trump has his own faults, but it's easier to look past with how bombastic and outspoken he is about other things, and the general movement behind him being a lot more radical than anything in Canada.

In a lot of cases it is also just liberal retards buying into 'Orange Man bad' and 'oh, isn't that man simply awful!' like in the UK and mainland Europe.
the last time it came to blows, we nearly burnt down the White House.
Both the Capitol and the White House were burnt and left as empty husks, yes.

It's always interesting how a country with a birthrate on the brink of natural decline is so desperate for new housing. It isn't the fault of immigration or foreign landlords, though (nothing is!). We just need more housing... for some reason. :smug:

What exactly makes those books "Jewish propaganda"?

I took a look at the Irwan one and it just looks like a nice kids book about Steve, his life, and the animals he worked with.
Fuck I'm retarded I'm tired as shit from shoveling over a foot worth of snow oh well I'm not changing it despite me being retarded maybe I will tomorrow lol.

Fully agreed, I think I remember reading somewhere in this thread of someone who breaks down the parliament speeches, which would be a nice entry point. Or maybe I'm retarted.

The colloquial terms of "Legalese" has been driving me bonkers lately, I feel as if all government/political work is designed too be as dry as possible to discourage those who get bored easy or haven't "practiced the art of reading dry-shit". Pair that with the instant gratification loop most lay-men are dealing with and it's a travesty.

Quick edit: yes I know I'm retarted, I'm Canadian.

In fairness, Helen Keller was used as propaganda, and still often is. Libs love to harp on about how the Nazis burnt her hecking books and that she sent a letter to Hitler telling him how evil and unwholesome he was. She was also a member of the Socialist Party (who were communists), a founding member of the ACLU, and, allegedly, was an early supporter of the NAACP. Interestingly though, she did support eugenics to some degree, and thought severely deformed or mentally unwell babies should be left to die as they would lead miserable lives or become criminals.

I think I remember Family Guy making fun of her once. I wonder how that went down.

Canadian politicians have fully embraced corpospeak, whether it is eulogising '2SLGBTQIA+', 'Women and Girls'™, 'Newcomers', 'Indigenous and First Nations' or any other group. It is sickening and dishonest and nobody is allowed to express an ounce of personality or sincerity. Worse still are the annoying grifter politicians who attempt to come off as hokey and down-to-Earth, usually by just feigning indignation, pretending they're really giving it to you straight, and saying 'folks' a lot, like Doug Ford (and Tim Walz, for Americans).

Canada is a completely different country than it was 10 years ago. It went from a great country down to a great shithole. I've spent the last 11 months studying Spanish so hopefully it'll pay off since some cities in Mexico are a reasonable choice. Sure the locals there think things are getting expensive but to truly grasp the severity of the economic problems in Canada should really make them think they've got it so good compared to us. Most Canadians have become economically trapped and the cost of living continues to skyrocket. Getting a Job in Canada is completely out of the window due to the combinations of lacking wages and demands for prior job experiences for entry level jobs. I have this sense that I would freeze to death if I don't leave within the next few months as costs continue to skyrocket.

I already got my Pesos and I am going to attempt to leave this shithole in one months time. I'm hoping to achieve my dreams of becoming an Interpreter with the languages I am learning. But yeah. I hate Canada's cold weather as well.
