The escape should be worth it. 2025 (or 2026) may be my last year in Canada. I have a 3 month Mexico trip to sort this out, take advantage with my Spanish learning by talking to locals and finding Job opportunities there. If I do return to Canada, it may be my last time there before (hopefully) escaping completely. I don't want to be there when the whole country collapses. I fear things will never get better in Canada.

In a lot of ways Trudeau is like Zelenskyy. Zeleskyy is a puppet of the west and is a direct threat to Russia's soverignty. Trudeau is a puppet of China and is a direct threat to US national interests. You dont take a chance with a cucksucker like Trudeau.

Yes I know Trudeau's poll numbers are terrible. But Trudeau clearly thinks he has some path to victory or he would have already resigned or stepped down as head of his party.

Trudeau knows that even a lot of so called "conservatives" in Canada have tds. Justin, I gurantee is going to run based off of Canada needs a leader who is going to not just get bullied by Trump and Canada cant afford to have a conservative as prime minister while trump is president.

Then there are going to be the outright bribing for votes Trudeau's already slashed sale taxes the appeal to childcare, dental care and housing services.

The man is as slippery as a politician can get. He should have been voted/forced out a long time ago. Trudeau's reign has been one scandal after another and makes that orange juice scandal under Harper a complete joke.

They said they are going to send the buyback guns to Ukraine to be used in war, the semi auto guns used for sports shooting and hunting will be sent to a foreign country to be used to kill people. The new list has banned basically semi-auto gun except for the SKS.

They included the GSG 15 and GSG 16 on the list which are common fun .22 rifles which are obviously not built for war, but they look cool so they are banned, same with the Kriss Vector .22 variants. They are claiming that these plinkers will be used in war. People who legally own these guns and have been using them up until today for this surprise announcement cannot use them anymore and they are basically paperweights until this is overturned.

Meanwhile criminals are going around shooting people in broad daylight and its extremely easy to get guns illegally, which the government is doing nothing about. Fucking insanity from the people in charge once again destroying businesses and seizing property to make it look lik they are doing something to people who don't know any better. People with firearms licenses are less likely to commit crimes than any other group because they can lose their guns and property if they do anything so going after them instead of people who are the problem is obviously fucking retarded. (But they are a smaller section of the population and they don't care if they will never vote Liberal ever again)


You can skip to any time in this announcement and come across something insane or embarrassing.

The problem with your reasoning here is that it assumes that Trudeau is a rational actor when he is the farthest thing from one. He is a delusional narcissist with a messianic complex who operates under the belief that the vast majority of the country loves him and that his critics constitute a fringe minority. If something goes horribly wrong it is always someone else's fault. Nine years into his premiership and he is still blaming the Harper government on his myriad failures. Inflation is (supposedly) and global issue that he (again, supposedly) has no control over how it affects the nation and the few brain-rotted followers he has blame provincial premiers when most of our issues stem from unchecked immigration, which is a FEDERAL responsibility.

Trudeau may use Trump as a boogeyman to strengthen his position with his shrinking base, but many Canadians know that he is not negotiating from a position of strength. Indeed, the Orange Man's threats of 25% tariffs scared the government shitless so Trudy flew down to Mar-A-Lago to grovel at the president-elect's feet. Trump does not respect Trudeau because the le petit dauphin is two-faced and weak despite his bluster. He is definitely not the right man (and I use that term extremely loosely) to represent Canada's interests and the individual provinces may as well cut their own deals with the Americans because Ottawa is utterly inept and delusional.

The Liberals' terrible polls are in large part due to Trudeau's immense unpopularity. His personal brand is so inextricably linked to the party that there is no way to separate them before the next election. Even the gibs he hands out are no longer sufficient to stop the hemorrhaging. Recent polls indicate that the GST holiday and $250 handout failed to help the party's fortunes. Many Canadians see this as a cynical vote-buying tactic when everything is getting steadily worse due to a decade of poor LPC policy.

All Trudeau has is "better the devil you know", which may have worked in 2019 and 2021, but things have progressed to the point where Canadians are willing to roll the dice to get rid of him. Of course, Trudeau doesn't see this because he is a psychotic man-child obsessed with Taylor Swift and flirting with teenage girls.

Canada's inflation is part of the reason why I stocked up on precious metals as of recently. I consider this better insurance because I don't trust the banks. Especially with Trudeau freezing people's bank accounts after the convoy. Canada isn't Australia levels of bad yet but I fear it might one day. I made it my goal to try and get out of Canada before shit really hits the fan. But I really don't want to leave my relatives behind.
