I would be happy if oligarchs got exposed as part of the left to the whole world. Mainly because it would finally shut up the liberals who insist our world is controlled by a cabal of conservatives.Well in all fairness those ghouls are just oligarchs seeking means to control humanity. I think their just shocked that some human cattle actually believe their shit.
100%, I understand why the Cons wouldn't do it during the elections, since Canadians are super emotionally driven, and hell, even many of the people who hate the amount of immigrants would probably have thought "PPants want to deport people like the orange man." They definitely should do it now, especially since it's clear now Carney is definitely not going to reduce it.
Funny thing is that I'm pretty sure that Sweden called Denmark fascists back in 2015 for tightening borders, but now you can clearly see the difference between the two.
Japan is NOT a left-wing country btw, the Liberal Democratic Party is (at least on paper) a right-wing conservative party, though there are leftists in the party, like the former PM that wanted 500k south asian immigrants. I understand the confusion since "liberalism" in a Canadian setting exclusively means left-wing, no matter what NDPtards say about how "carney is a PC!" I do agree about the whole nationalism part, and with japan it's pretty prevalent among most of the parties in some way.
Stellantis and the other big auto manufacturers literally are part of that mafia. Which is why they managed to shake down so much money for the battery plants from Trudeau, Doug Ford and now Carney (We're the marks he's the Carney).Stellantis is leaving because owning a business in Canada is not profitable anymore. Between the anti-competition laws favouring the local mafia, the huge layers of red tape and the onerous levels of environmental obligations why would anyone open a company in Canada?
Canada isn't a left wing country. And the NDP isn't a workers party anymore.
Canadians have pet causes that they pretend to care about just like Americans but the empathy is highly selective and even performative.
It's all an illusion though. I would say most Canadians are probably greedier than Americans but won't ever admit to it.
Canada is Dubai 2 North in terms of its labour policies. Just look up the similarities. Human Rights violations through the roof.
Canada is definitely an old boys club as well. Contrary to the narrative women actually do better in the U.S than anywhere in Canada. The U.S excluding some of the conservative states is the real feminist success story in terms of the number of female CEO's, Business owners. Women are doing really bad in Canada by comparison but are completely in denial about it.
I wouldn't say Canadians in general are greedy, else wise they would actually try to make real money or build real businesses rather then just coast along on what's already been there for decades.
I'd say the average Canadian is both lazy and unaware. Canada has the lowest productivity per worker in the G7 and most Canadians are fine with anything Ottawa does just as long as it doesn't upset their apple cart. They hate the status quo but are unwilling to do anything about it, they fear the future but refused to think about it nor acknowledge their part in creating it.
Canada deserves to be a satrap of the US, in fact we'd be better off as one then under the current Canadian elites who have shown themselves to be practically useless except when it comes to fleecing the tax-payer.

The liberals really are the just pedophile-protector party at this point, Jesus Christ
Iirc there's actually a recent clip from one lf the HOC sessions just a few days back that involved Marc Miller & crew accidentally voting through a motion about revisiting using the notwithstanding clause to undo that whole 'removing mandatory minimum sentences for pedos' SCC ruling which lead to them them getting notably upset over after realizing
Mate, I don't know if you read all of that second case, but this dude literally isn't even a Canadian citizen.Snip
The joke of it all is that China will never make a move on Taiwan. It really is just a scare-tactic used by Western and Japanese politicians and media conglomerates to push local issues into the shadows.China finally decides it's going to make a move on Taiwan.
I really doubt this. Canada has a different geography from Ukraine, and a different population density pattern too. Ukraine is able to stave off Russia because the shared border is a relatively small percentage of Ukraine's border, and the population density is evenly spread out across the country. If it was 90s Canada or earlier Canada could have likely held off like Ukraine is holding off Russia (at least for the moment) and put up a heroic defense even if we would eventually lose.
I'm a highly-educated professional. When I lived in Canada, I couldn't afford to live alone, I had to go to the food bank every month, and I was bleeding money without trying. I had no chance to save anything, or move up in life, and I felt completely powerless and exhausted. After leaving Canada, I can afford a two-bedroom apartment on my own, I can go out to eat dinner everyday with friends, I can go out on the weekends to clubs and lounges, I can afford to travel a few times a year, and I live a perfectly normal middle-class lifestyle. The difference is crazy, especially considering the fact that my job title never changed, only the location changed!Canada's biggest problem has always been the brain drain.
like I said, fake-out. Gayboh would quit the entire parliament not just cabinet. It walks NOTHING back, because Carny has NO intention of following through - hell, it JACKS UP the carbon tax. Gayboh is either playing a role to trick everyone or he's too stupid to realize Carny is playing 4-D chess.News is saying he quit specifically because the Memorandum of Understanding signed with Alberta walks back a whole bunch of his environmental policies.
Joke's on them; none of this is happening, Carny is a double-crossing backstabbing bitch giving false hope to Alberta.BC certainly isn't happy that their tanker ban is under threat and another pipeline project is on the menu, but west is the easier direction to go as it's much less opposition.
the problem here is Stellantis was bribed as was Volkswagen with gazillions of taxpayer dollars.Stellantis is leaving because owning a business in Canada is not profitable anymore. Between the anti-competition laws favouring the local mafia, the huge layers of red tape and the onerous levels of environmental obligations why would anyone open a company in Canada?
the NDP threw a fit when the Conservatives raised it to 16. They had the nerve to cry that this was discriminatory towards LGBTWTFBBQ+- kids.Oh man, the Paul Martin era was so much worse. Age of consent was 14 years of age. A girl in my grade who was mixed race, overweight and chesty and had a really bad self esteem presumably had 30 year old boyfriend. We were all 14. I saw her one day smoking outside waiting to be picked up on a Friday from school by him and they drove off in his car. People were hilariously apathetic, even the teachers.
That age of consent law was supposed to have a provision where 14 was of age but the person they had sex with has to be only so many years older them but no one gave a shit really.
holy shit what kind of garbage wages were you getting in Canada?!I'm a highly-educated professional. It's not so much the wages as it is the COL. I don't think Canadians realize how expensive everything is there compared to other places in the world. I can go and eat a full delicious meal here for less than CA$5. My monthly rent is less than CA$200, and I'm the first tenant in a newly constructed building. Subway tickets cost CA$0.20, and the subway has 150+ stops.holy shit what kind of garbage wages were you getting in Canada?!
being a Leaf, I know shit's expensive, but I thought USA was catching up with us on that. It's not so much the wages as it is the COL. I recently wanted to buy a desk organizer. I looked up options on the web and I saw one from an office retailer located in Canada that was priced at something like CA$120. I took a picture of it and searched for it on a major retail site here, and the exact same model was selling for something like CA$7. So the Canadian pricing was more than 10x the pricing I was looking at, for the exact same model, produced by the exact same company. It's like that for everything.
Perhaps, but I'm not familiar with US prices.being a Leaf, I know shit's expensive, but I thought USA was catching up with us on that.
This is actually a fairly widespread talking point ("land doesn't vote, people do") and the actual retort to it is that people in bughives do not produce what a country needs to survive. The question is still the same: why should the Ontarian government spend so much money on such a sparsely populated area instead of focusing on the immediate well-being of the largest population centres?
I dont really think it is smoke from him. The asshole is salty that the new liberal leadership is changing his policies that he no longer has control over. His only option in protest, since he was now a "minister of identity" or whatever, was to resign from cabinet and flounce for all its worth. Also I don't really care if it's smoke and mirrors, watching that faggot Guilbeaut sulk away from Parliament is cathartic as fuck.
Isn’t Guilbeut only the second member of Trudeau’s cabinet gone?I dont really think it is smoke from him. He was a Trudeau lackey, so he's naturally not happy with the direction of Carney's leadership.
He just qualified for his pension very recently iirc right?Gayboh is either playing a role to trick everyone or he's too stupid to realize Carny is playing 4-D chess.
Separation isnt happening so it's more like Smith doing a lot of talk about how bad the carney libs are doing only to immediately play ball once a vaguely good sounding idea comes along.Alberta has been pretty angry with the Federal government, so I think this is throwing a bone to them so they temper the thought of separation
They threaten to resign over every little thing, first it was the lack of mentions related to greenhouse gases in the budget and now it's them intentionally trying to divide the country when that should be the conservatives job.Several Liberal cabinet members are already threatening to resign over the deal, which by the way was the smaller, most minor thing Smith asked for.
Crushing the dreams of millions of brave inbred Khalistani patriots with those words.Separation isnt happening
