The "Easter Egg" was literally used as a plotpoint in his story instead of as a reference from a side character like you'd see in Earthbound.
 
I was thinking of playing it just to see the whole pandora's box, but all those snippets of dialogue (And jfc that godawful soundtrack) set me back.

Also, Isn't Dick Masterson supposed to have a little cameo on it as well?
 
Here’s a hot take:
YIIK was alright. Nothing amazingly special, but not terrible. The update that fixed load times made it a lot more tolerable, though.
Worth buying? Depends on what you like. I like more auteur indie games, and I got it on sale, so I don’t feel ripped off.

It's a great game to enjoy enjoy ironically mostly due to the atrocious dialog, I'd recommend it.

the problem was not that he was unlikeable. it was he was ANOYING AND REFUSED TO SHUT UP EVERYTIME HE WENT ON A 5+ MINUTE MONOLOG ABOUT POINTLESS SHIT while also being an unlikable asshole who only really changed by the very end of the game.

i pity Andrew because he went through some shit during the games development and basically re-wrote large cucnk of the game to pay tribute to his mother. the gameplay could have been fun since it played alot like shadow hearts but the combat was so slow and braindead so it soured alot of people.

the game did look like ass though. my eyes were bleeding at times looking at it.
