A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

He's going to be prime minister no matter how much these fuck are going to try and stop it or smear him. Clearly 2016 in the USA never made people realize that it will only make them more popular because no one really likes the left or the media.

U ok hun xxxxxx

False equivalency? The point is that she didn't have mental capacity to make that decision for herself. Try again. I appreciate that you may have to think for yourself over and above NPC style "britbongs cucked" and thus risk an aneurysm, but at least try.
Well you got me on one thing I meant to say false dichotomy. You are suggesting by the government not forcing her to have an abortion they are forcing her to give birth. What kind of stupid shit is that?

Those neighbors look like they go to anti-Trump rallies in Los Angeles in their spare time. Cut them out and photoshop them at any anti-Trump Los Angeles event and they'll blend right in.

>for the years 1990 to 2010

My citation was for current year.

Try again.
The displayed IQ was averaged out of the results of 9 international studies and compared to the average income and government expenditures on education for the years 1990 to 2010.

the income and government education expenditures are the figures from 1990-2010, the IQ studies are from 2002-2010, the same studies from your link are included in the calculations

The intelligence quotients by countries are taken from the studies conducted by Richard Lynn and Tatu Vanhanen (2002), Heiner Rindermann (2007), Khaleefa and Lynn (2008), Ahmad, Khanum and Riaz (2008), Lynn, Abdalla and Al-Shahomee (2008), Lynn and Meisenberg (2010) as well as the PISA tests in 2003, 2006 and 2009.

*austism about abortion aside*

So if I took it upon myself to shoot this repulsive parasitic whore (sorry, I meant esteemed member of the judiciary), Nathalie Lieven, in the face with a shotgun, I could say:

"I am acutely conscious of the fact that for a private citizen to terminate a woman where it appears that she doesn't want it is an immense intrusion, I have to operate in [her] best interests, not on society's views of termination".

That'd be ok right? Because evidently anyone can make a decision on someone's fate these days.

Nathalie Lieven is scum and I hope one day she dies a horrible slow death.

Abort the rape baby, find a new caregiver for the potato, jail the mom and the rapist.

As if we needed more proof what a fucking mess this country is. Also apparently "row" is an angry dispute in this language lmfao.

This definitely wasn't politically motivated at all. Nope. Just a concerned citizen who happens to live next to the man most likely to be the next PM who is a divisive character.

So what? Would you object to a Brexiter taping loud embarrassing shit of a Labour/CUK candidate as well?

To the BBC's credit, their morning programmes seem to be pushing Boris' lack of conviction in answering questions about the incident, rather than jumping to the conclusion he's a woman beating rapist. A lot of newspapers have also really emphasised that the source is a "leftie Remoaner" and aren't sold on the given motivation.

Only the Granuiad seems to be running with any momentum for this.

Incorrect. The care plan put forward by the Bambino Gesu Hospital was simply palliative care by another means; there was still no chance of recovery in the circumstances. But because they were Scousers they did the whole woe is me thing and demanded asspats over it. It was rearranging the deckchairs.

I realized I had the names mixed up. I meant Charlie Gard. Your point may still stand regardless but so does mine. Even if they had not been able to cure him, I believe it would have been good to let doctors try more things to get a better understanding. It also may have been helpful to the parents just so they could have that extra bit of closure. I still think it wasn't anyone's place but theirs to make that call.

I fear the Dunning-Kruger is strong in you. That was exactly the opposite of what the Court found, no doubt based upon the medical and psychiatric evidence before it.

Ignoring your snark, are you saying we should just 100% trust whatever the court decided to do? There's already speculation that it may have been a nurse or doctor that got the woman pregnant in the first place. If that's true, this does sound like ass covering. Even if not, it doesn't matter. Just because a court system decided something doesn't just mean we should accept it. Courts make stupid decisions all the time. It seems silly to just lie down and accept that because they say a woman should have her baby forcibly vacuumed out that it's clearly the right move and no one should be concerned.

Citation needed. No, really. I'd love to see an actual documented case of the authorities going all cUlTuRAl sENSiTiVItY over a "potato incest baby."

It's a known issue in the UK that Muslims, Pakis in particular, marry their first cousins at home and then pop out tard babies in the UK. One that no one does anything about. While I can't exactly prove that it's cultural sensitivity, do you really believe that if it wasn't Muslims, there wouldn't be hell raining down on these people? There's communities of them. There are plenty of documentaries on the issue. There are plenty of articles about it. Yet I don't see anyone forcing these people to have abortions. I don't see anyone going out of their way to cry about the drain it causes on the healthcare system. We can look back to when Muslims were raping children in the UK, it was a known problem, and it was overlooked because the authorities were terrified to be called racist. I firmly believe it's the same issue here. And I believe that if this woman was a Muslim, no one would be forcing an abortion on her.
