A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

This is the first time I've actually seen Morgan McSweeney, all this time I assumed it was some 40something Civil Servent phenotype guy who looked like he'd ban fingering if put to a vote but he's actually just a fucking tech nerd. How the absolute fuck has he amassed enough power to be chief of staff while looking like he's got into politics fresh out of a sociology degree?

So the four eyed rent boy loving pervert on the right paid the four eyed pedophile loving pervert on the left £55,000 of our money to leave office ?

He paid him for his treachery with 3 months of severance pay. I hope these two burn in hell. Does treason not count as gross misconduct ?

I suppose it figures, treason qualifies you for a bonus in Starmer's eyes.
Remember the payment I mentioned here?

Mendelson was a life peer so I think he met the 2+ years of service criteria despite working less than a year in his role as ambassador.
He might've then sought the payment on the sly and got it, which wouldn't surprise me considering how shit our bureaucracy/civil service is.
He might've qualified for the "winding down" payment, which doesn't require you to be a sitting MP and received the equivalent to 4 months of salary.
The BBC say he got 40k, but 40, 55, he still got money we wasn't entitled to.

As an aside, the Google AI summary take the issue of winding up payments directly it from the government's website, so there's a really weaselly thing in here about how the payments are taxed, they just reach the recipients intact because they were pre-taxed beforehand.

So yeah, he got every penny of that 40/55k

Man, I wish I could sacked as a government minister, sounds like easy money.

I'm unironically at the point where I think Mandleson wont even spend a day in prison or get so much as a fine over all of this and Starmer wont fuck off out of office. They had Morgan McSweeney be the fall guy and resign instead and Labours back bench is quite literally unable to form a spine and kick out this nonce.

The hibernian menace runs the country

unknown-1.png

In truth, he's an activist who wormed his way up through the activist hierarchy until he had gained enough influence. He positioned himself as the vanguard of a youth-oriented Labour strategy, picked Starmer as the face of his ideas, then ran every single one of his campaigns. McSweeney is the reason Starmer ran for Parliament. He rode the rubber dummy all the way to the top.

I'd give it a week before dooming. There's also a lot of distracting messaging going out, as certain people (Brown, for instance) try to get ahead of the next revelations that are surely coming, so it'll take a while longer for everything to coalesce. The talking point of Starmer appointing Mandelson even after he knew the truth is not going away, no matter how much McSweeney tries falling on his sword.

I can't believe that [Insert happening] happened and distracted us from all of this. If only [Insert happening] hadn't have happened right at the time when the nation was paying attention.

RIP to those who died because of [Insert happening].

Imagine this, you're a Labour party member witnessing Starmer take the party to new lows, you know deep down that he's not lasting until the election and there's a solid chance that whoever takes charge immediately after him is going to boost the party and regain a lot of the potential seats lost.

Then you see him immediately stab Streeting in the back as he goes for a leadership challenge, then you watch him stab Burnham in the back and it dawns on you that this fucker is going to kill off all his opposition to remain in power.

Then the Labour party is hit with the biggest scandal in living memory that looks like it has hooks going back all the way to fucking BLAIR. Still Starmer clings on, stabbing as many people in the back as possible to try and hold on to whatever power he has left.

I wonder how long it's going to take until you get MPs from say Sheffield who realise the party is completely toast and just straight up defect to Reforrm?

This is horrifying.
The enormity of the horror in the revelation that almost all western world leaders were knowingly and willingly cavorting with a serial child rapist like Epstein; is such a massive weight that it shakes my faith in humanity that there hasn't been some great outpouring of hatred from the masses. We have entered a civilisation hall of mirrors where the distorted nightmare reflections of the cenobitian hell all around us, are treated as comedic props to be jeered at rather than impetus for revenge.

Honestly the idea that Lord Ali might be an eccentric gay sugar daddy for succulant young arseholes in the Labour party, leading to him having power over every faggot in parliament... being a complete possibility is incredible.

Which is horrible because it means that Toby, the most failure to launch stoner you know was 100% right when he said that the world was run by gay paedophiles with lizard skin.

Starmer will try to hang on until the Gorton and Denton by-election is done and then when it's announced as a loss he will resign.
I'll go with the Easter period as the latest as to when it will be all over.

I will expect Starmer gone at any point between now and then.

The knives are being sharpened.

C/O Claire Hocking on FB, this might be of interest:

'Rupert Lowe Raises further Allegations Over £2.6 Billion missing through a network of charities and non governmental organisations which he says are connected to individuals close to Keir Starmer.

Lowe alleges that the money was moved through complex financial routes involving multiple organisations and offshore structures. He described the matter as serious and has suggested that those involved should come forward before he releases further material.

In one appearance, Lowe was filmed holding a red binder, which he claimed contains documentation mapping financial routes, offshore companies and funding pathways. He also referred to a sealed red envelope which he said includes notes relating to Starmer’s early career.

At present, Lowe has not released the underlying evidence publicly, and no independent body has confirmed that the claims have been verified.

There has been no announcement from regulators, auditors, or law enforcement agencies that a formal investigation is underway.

The claims have nevertheless spread widely, largely due to the scale of the sum alleged and the implications for public trust in charities and NGOs.

For now, the allegations remain unresolved. What Would Need to Happen Next:

For these claims to move beyond allegation, several steps would need to follow: documentary evidence would need to be published or submitted to authorities, regulators such as the Charity Commission would need to confirm whether any reviews or audits are taking place.

Financial records would need to be examined independently, and any findings would need to be assessed by appropriate legal or oversight bodies.

The situation is now being watched closely. Whether evidence emerges, and whether independent scrutiny follows, will determine how this story develops.

Many will be waiting with close attention to see what, if anything, comes next.'

Starmer's political lifespan is now contingent on how little self-respect he has. The primary reason he remains in office is because it is politically useful to all factions in the party (there is no longer any Starmerite faction, if there ever was) to hang as much shit around his neck as possible before heaving him over the side. For this reason, it would be useful to all factions if he hangs on long enough to cop the blame for the local election results in May. So the choice is his - he can either stay for a few months more as a figurehead to be sniped at or he can end the suffering earlier.

The files even mention this, that the global population is so dumb and unaware and content with bread and circuses they won't do anything (and no doubt Jeff and Ghislaine's work in 4Chan and Reddit respectively cultivated this 'meme' that the files are somehow funny). When I have seen political/social commentators touch on it, they are either making shit up ('Jeff Epstein created transphobia'), or asking 'do you people really think that Baal is real come on' instead of actually addressing that the elites have been using children for sexual pleasure and entertainment. Why the fuck do any of us pay taxes?

How many fags is that now? How many Uki rent boys? I think the only thing to come from this is that you can't trust them in power. They have the sexual appetites of deranged men and the societal know-how of women. I understand now why the same-sex legal age limit used to be 21.

Guardian is running some brown bitch's article that we need to 'stop saying thank you'. Some quango report has come out that the amount of 'asylum seekers' claiming benefits has tripled. Advance UK had some powerpoint speech that brought up a few interesting things including banning non-Brits from holding office (which would include Habib). I wish Rupert would stop allying with that South African cunt Musk (as much as I understand he needs the money) and get some Yarmouth chavs to start kicking in doors.

Someone on here a while back was musing about how the constant deluge of horror and the way the media rapidly cycles such things serves to numb people.
When I see things like this, and the horror that’s implied by that pedo charity/fife schools thread, I believe it. Why aren’t people up in arms?
We had a case of abuse/rape at a school near us a while back and the perp was arrested. The local FB group was FULL of parents doing the whole ‘mustn’t speculate/judge’ stuff. The very few parents who wanted to crucify the guy in the schoolyard were shouted down as unreasonable. I just don’t understand people, but I don’t seem to be wired to be numb to it. I want blood.

Does anyone here genuinely feel like we're not already past the point of no return where the only way the mess of this country gets resolved is with a lot of violence? I'm not one to Met-post and am normally a graph checker when it comes to 'things' and 'happening', but I'm really starting to feel like the paths that don't involve that are closing off or are already long closed. I guess it could just be some Sunday evening doom pills but this last week has really just had me feeling this way even more.
