https://news.sky.com/story/row-over-new-greggs-vegan-sausage-rolls-heats-up-11597679 (https://archive.ph/5Ba6o)

A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

We do need to move to renewable sources to at least attempt to slow climate change,
You would have to prove climate change is a real man made thing and then convince us that our small island should sacrifice things when the third world isn't going to do the same. Many of us have come to the conclusion that climate change is a conspiracy theory handcuffing first world countries to impossible goals so they weaken themselves. The climate change lobby is full of misinformation and outright scams that cause more problems than they solve and often aren't viable technology at all.

Lol. "Climate change" my fucking arse

If climate change was 1. Caused by human activity and 2. An actual serious real legitimate problem then we'd actually strongarm the chinks and street shitters into reining in their emissions.

Believing in "climate change" is as retarded as fuck.

Fossil fuels are used for a reason. They have the highest energy density by weight of any other comparable substance that is relatively easy to process, have widespread use and underpin all of modern industry.

We do need to move to renewable sources to at least attempt to slow climate change, but the way in which the rollout occurs will be a horror show of mess and poor decisions. That's how big infrastructure change occurs in the UK - massive cost, ineptitude, inconsiderate of the needs of the common person, and 'we should have done this instead' reflections 20 years after the fact.
I'm a strong advocate of nuclear and HFC and there are amongst the economic and geopolitical reasons, good environmental ones as well. But I'm not convinced of AGW. I've seen too much bad science done in the name of it, too much religious fervour amongst its proponents and it used too often for meaningless graft and self-enrichment. I care more about our rivers and our lakes and our forests and our air, than I do about carbon. But every group and source of funding dedicated to these things seems to have been subverted by the dubious AGW lobby.

We do need to get off fossil fuels sooner or later, but AGW is not one the arguments I personally use to push nuclear, even though reducing carbon is a major side-effect of nuclear power. Just because I don't consider it a good argument for doing so.

I've pointed out mistakes in things AGW proponents have written - not even to make an argument or with a visible agenda, just in the interests of accuracy - and had mobs of pitchforks and torches storming after me for doing so. And when sticking to my guns, had some of them outright say "it doesn't matter if you're right or not, you shouldn't say it." Because pointing out flaws in their statements "lends ammunition to the deniers".

Their claim is Science. Their method is religion.

The rent boy enjoyer seems to be talking more and more about Digital ID - I can't tell if he's using this as a way to avoid talking about the bigger problems going on (bills going up, tax, scandals, fucking migrants) or if he's going to try get this on the table before he's inevitably out by Christmas.
These reactor discussions are very interesting, KF is the only place u can have any sort of discussion without retards screaming NUH UH.
At work I've had white middle class men and women start to Notice things and talk openly. Even a few years ago they were all in denial of price rises and the 'cozzy livs' but having them notice and say they are quite concerned was slightly worrying, if it's affecting them as well how bad is it getting? I was shocked to hear some of the ladies (middle class, pro trans, vaguely lefty types) start to discuss how bad the migrant crisis is and how they shouldnt be allowed in. One of the maintenance lads is Pakistani and he was kicking off because one of the residential buildings he works has a huge problem of migrants (not asylum seekers just 'normal' migrants) coming in, running up electricity, water, rent, bills and then fucking off back to their home country after 2-3 years without paying for anything. A lot of 'its unfair we work and have to pay tax while these lot get away with everything'.
Still a lot of shaking heads at the flags still going up and how its ''stirring up racial tensions'' but this winter might be a turning point with how bad bills are getting. Reform has a real opportunity to get some numbers out about how much it costs to house and feed an asylum seeker and how the government isn't spending it on our pensioners or hungry schoolkids. Alas.

Can't wait for climate change lockdowns :stress:
These have been seriously discussed as a solution in certain circles. The idea is to reduce climate impact by forcing people to stay in their homes for some number of days a year, or only letting them travel on certain days or at certain times. It's impractical to implement, impossible to enforce, and likely wouldn't achieve any of the stated goals, but it's something these people want to do.

So, as @Crunkle eloquently put it, Labour has another scandal and it is pretty serious. MacSweeney, who was leading Starmer's campaign, told an outside source that he was concealing donations of around £750,000. From what I assume, a lawyer or a clerk saw this and has posited it for ammo. There are already dozens of Parliamentary offences linked to this, but actual jail time too. What is of course, Starmer clearly knew about this as MacSweeney's family got exposed for exploiting migrant hotels and collecting £3 million in profit.

I think this is Mandleson and the Blairites finally going in for the kill, as it is before Conference. It makes Starmer look terrible as he was accepting and concealing vast amounts of donor money, most likely from Muslim cells. Lord Ali himself has numerous terror links, and with Starmer basically glorifying Hamas, it looks terrible. It's the equivalent of a PM in the past stating the IRA was in control of Ireland.

He has 2 weeks of this, then a book calling him a fraud, releasing. He will not be able to pass Digital IDs, as there is too much heat currently. Digital ID is something you sneak in, as this will get genuine outrage, and Starmer's government, well Labour cannot cope with it. This stuff in comparison to Bojo, looks tame. I have never in my life seen someone who not only flagrantly lies but also misleads Parliament. The issue with Starmer is that whenever he talks, he thinks he is the smartest in the room. Look at the Trump visit, for example. Trump is so respected because he talks with the common man, not at them, and in doing so commands more presence. Churchill and Thatcher, too. It's why I like Mogg so much because he is a genuine person, same with Lowe, and in British politics you don't get those people much.

Actual government-ending stuff here and also a possible explanation as to why Starmer hasn't ditched McSweeney yet:
:story:
Okay I'll admit when I said ages ago that something would happen I was 100% talking out of my arse, but when you know you know!
GE before or after Christmas? I like the sound of mid-November one.

Making it about muh 1 Celsius difference is dumb it should be more about the mercury in the water making the fish gay fucking dead, the real danger will always be the "effects" many of which we're seeing already.
The mass die off (makes it sound so clean doesn't it?) in the Tyne is still an open book because nobody will admit how fucked shit is getting, the real limit on planetary carrying capacity isn't the thermometer it's how much metaphorical shit you're trying to flush through it, microplastics are just one facet of it, look at how much dead zones are expanding year on year, ice caps don't count for shit when we're on the threshold of something worse.

He can't say "fuck it, you're all replaced" to the MPs, he can to his cabinet. But he can't stop a Vote of No Confidence nor not honour one if passed.
I appreciate the post and information.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but what it comes down to is the only way Starmer is fired, is it the MPs - who are on a cushy number and quids in, vote to fire themselves three years before they get fired, knowing they can do pretty much whatever they want because all eyes are on the boss?
I can't see that happening.

Better for Labour to ride out the scandals, wait until 2029 and begin with the tax breaks, pay rises etc, so that the goldfish-memory of the plebs sees Starmer as a hero.

Right, I'm going to sound like a retard here but I've always wondered if there's another element to the equation that we haven't figured out yet regarding how the Earth revolves around the Sun. Gravitational pull ensures that there's a relatively stable loop over and over again, but what if the Earth is very gently being drawn closer to the Sun?

Would an asteroid that misses us ever be large enough to affect the gravitational pull slightly which would result in us being a fraction closer to the Sun (or further away depending on where it is) as that could explain why there have been incredible heatwaves in the past, even before man made industry.

Britain's Duchess of York lied over cutting ties with Jeffrey Epstein, damaging emails reveal

Another email obtained by the Daily Mail, which the Duchess sent on January 22, 2011 – is addressed to 'my dear, dear friend Jeffrey' and appears to thank him for his recent help with the huge debts she had racked up after years of lavish spending.

She wrote: 'How can I thank you enough? You are a friend indeed and I will one day give it to you back. But I can not have the words to thank you now.

'Sometimes the heart speaks better than the words. You have my heart. With lots of love, dear Jeffrey.'

The Duchess adopted a similarly appreciative tone in her email of April 26, 2011, apologizing for disowning him – while also trying to reassure him that she had never described him as a pedophile.

She told him she had been instructed to give the interview to protect 'my career as a children's book author and children's philanthropist' adding that she was 'broken' because 'I saw all my children's work disappearing.'

Pleading with the child abuser, she added: 'I know you feel hellaciously let down by me from what you were either told or read and I must humbly apologise to you and your heart for that.'

The extraordinary email will send shock waves through Britain's royal family and will fuel calls for King Charles and Prince William to completely ostracize the disgraced Yorks.

Can everyone please just stop fucking children? I know they're only angry with her because she associated with the wrong kind of kiddy fiddlers but even so. STOP FUCKING CHILDREN. Brown, Black, Yellow or Ginger. Just keep yourself away from children's genitals and them away from yours. It's not that difficult not to avoid sexually abusing children. I've managed to do it and I'm a fucking retard.

I think this is Mandleson and the Blairites finally going in for the kill,
Mandelson and McSweeney were essentially bumders together, very close political and friendly allies. Nobody could say what it is at the moment but it's not just the Blairites in the party now. Every single wing of Labour wants him gone. Politicians almost never react to polls when they're in government but I promise you it's their bedtime reading.

I reckon it's a Miliband/Blair tag team (I think the Burnham by-election stuff is just the Burnham camp trying to will a near-impossibility into existence by talking about it).
The think tank McSweeney ran was Labour Together. Two weeks ago that same think tank released the ID card mockup. No surprise that the McSweeney info is coming out now as I bet you Labour Together held onto that legal documentation on an email server somewhere, right into Blair's lap. The timing of this donation thing and the book next week is very important and not coincidence at all.

I'd look into Hannah O'Rourke (here's her Xitter if anyone wants to trawl through negative IQ posts and retweets) if I were you, she took over after McSweeney.

The briefing last week about Miliband refusing to go and then leaking that to the press was unprecedented. Not just a victory lap against a sitting PM but a "na-na-na!" right in his face. That's what started this rush was that the PM didn't do anything about it.

It's the equivalent of a PM in the past stating the IRA was in control of Ireland.
I wouldn't mind if we muted Netanyahu's voice like we did Gerry Adams in the 90s. Could always replace his voice with Zippy from Rainbow but then again, might get confused for the PM.

He has 2 weeks of this, then a book calling him a fraud, releasing.
I think this will decide his fate. It's an open secret that he won't be PM for much longer but this will be the Partygate. The constant, drip-drip of announcements and then one day, a huge mistake that will cause most Labour MPs to move and install Miliband.

GE before or after Christmas? I like the sound of mid-November one.
He'll be PM for conference, it'll go down like a lead balloon. If we're lucky we get someone crashing his speech with a prank or someone parks a cheeky decorated double decker calling Starmer a nonce outside the conference.

I think he'll be gone or in the process of leaving by April 2026. Then Miliband as PM until the next election. He is the only current minister that the party would vote for as PM even if he's hated nationally and known as a freak who can't eat a sandwich properly.

EDIT: Further thought. Politicians always start to reveal and announce their long-term passion projects right at the end of their premier. Theresa May with the net zero announcement weeks before she left office (IIRC). Makes you think about the timing of this Palestine announcement.

@teriyakiburns I usually consider myself pretty well-informed on this stuff but even I'd never heard about the drying out of the soil. It makes sense when you think about it - they're a near continuous unidirectional updraft. I note how according to your linked paper the drying is worst in Summer and Autumn, so spot on for killing wildlife. I also like (as in I do not like) how even in a paper pointing out large problems with windfarms, the authors have to begin their paper with the statement of "Wind energy is renewable and clean". They have to show their allegiance to the cause lest anyone think they might be heretical opponents of windfarms.

Few things more darkly humorous than people saying "science isn't political".

EDIT: There really ought to be some organised anti-wind farm groups to provide information and coordination.

Take comfort in the fact he'd be happier out in the wild and has probably been dining out on his story about being rescued by benevolent aliens / angels of the Hedgehog Lord to all his hedgehog mates ever since. You did the right thing.

It's funny, the last time I went into my local tesco, I actually saw that they were selling actual hedgehog food for wild hedgehogs so I can only assume that a lot of people do actually go out of their way to feed the scamps.
Including me, those jammy bastards get free food every night they bumble into my garden , which is every night. Then I talk to the neighbors and they also feed them.
Man I'd hate to live in a city.

Let's check on how things are going in Londonistan under Islamoshitlib rule: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...-Tube-sex-attacks-graffiti-violent-crime.html
1758474056489.webp
Violent attacks on the platforms and carriages of the London Underground are soaring. So are theft, harassment and indecent exposure – and, most concerning of all, sexual assault.

1758474287396.webp 1758474302028.webp

Londoners often don’t bother to report being assaulted, because the police are less than worthless. Don’t try saying anything politically incorrect on social media though.
Thugs, drunks, perverts, thieves and louts know they can get away with anything.

Commuters are in no position to stop them. Quite apart from the justified fear of knife violence, most of us are aware that, if we lay a finger on a pickpocket or a groper, we might easily find ourselves charged with assault, instead of the perpetrators.

The Daniel Penny effect originated in New York, so it comes as no surprise that UK's neolib rulers will come down on anyone who defends innocent civilians from the subhumans they import.

nder London’s useless mayor Sadiq Khan, the chances of Tube criminals being caught are negligible.

Sure enough, here’s what the Tubes look like now. People actually choose to live like this by voting in libshits like Sadiq Khan.

I reckon he'll be gone much sooner than that. His position is untenable already, so chances are he'll either announce during the conference, or he'll have to resign after Reeves fucks up the budget. I don't necessarily see it going to an election then (much as I'd love to see it), unless he thinks it will give him some sort of revenge against his adversaries.

I really hope you're correct, but have you realised how silent Reeves has been since the start of last week? She's had no major speeches or media appearances since then. She's already left government; probably swanning about on holiday.

I think she's being lined up ahead of the budget as the reserved scalp for that fuck-up and excuse for tax rises. She will:
  1. Announce a really nasty budget (I imagine most of it written from No. 10 with Darren Jones hence the reason for his moving over and Starmer creating a new role for him in cabinet)
  2. HUGE backlash/protests etc...
  3. Reeves "resigns" (Starmer sacks her) and promises "meaningful changes" (I guarantee you he will use this phrase or something equally as dreadful) in his 20th relaunch.
  4. Makes 'concessions' (decided and planned before) on the budget
  5. Pressure keeps growing, MPs pounce
  6. Ed Miliband as PM
They've been floating various policy ideas for the budget for the past few months to see what causes the most uproar, they'll just sounding out and seeing which is the path of least resistance to keep Starmer in power.

Starmer, next weekend, is for some lunatic reason at conference announcing digital ID. The ID is so massively hated that even Corbyn feels it is dystopian.

Why the fuck would you do this? This faggot has not a political bone in his body, so the worst polling PM in HISTORY, there are more positive historical articles about fucking Cromwell. A leader who is so openly despised thinks this is a good idea.

A Youtuber reminded me Tony Blair was also a faggot too as he was arrested for cottaging. (1983) When the fuck aren't Labour sexual degens or pedophiles? Tony isn't even his real name; seems the gays in the party really like hiding their identity to mask their latent homosexuality.

British politics 101. Always have a patsy announce something the party wants but no one wants to take credit for. Starmer is fucked, he's a dead man walking so he's now the ultimate sock puppet for the party. Him and others about to be kicked to the curb can announce all the unpopular stuff. Then future PM sucks through his teeth and goes "I didn't support it, but we have it now. Guess we better use it..."

If Starmer goes the public will demand an election immediately. They already want one and a replacement leader will be seen as unelected.

Digital ID gonna have me acting up. For real. In all actuality. It's my redline.

EDIT: I actually do wonder if the government thinks that we're all genuinely retarded? The solution to the foreign problem is to remove all the foreigners. Who gives a shit about cataloguing them, documenting them, organising them, filtering them, sifting, sorting, weighing, and tagging them? Get them the fuck out! It's the only solution.
