A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

What are the odds of Big Baz and his mate walking down the street wearing gloves and raping a woman in the middle of Rush hour?

The same chance as a Bulgarian man and his wife raping or beating up a child who just happens to be carrying a huge knife and axe in a Scottish Council estate open area in daytime with people and vehicles all around.

While we were there some bloke got attacked by one he cornered in his garage and it took half his arm off, they’re vicious things.
I'm not surprised. Most people's experience of them is only through Wind In The Willows or John Craven getting a semi when he sees one through his night vision. They're viscous pests. TBD.

The hoops you have to jump through to kill them is unreal, even though officially there is still a cull underway.

Badgers are really nasty and they can kill your dogs
They'll go after livestock too. They always play down the numbers but I've known people lose calves/lambs through them. I was always told by the locals that if you get a sett big enough and the clan has multiple litters on the go, the "solitary forager" bullshit that conservation groups peddle goes out of the window in favour of them going after larger prey. It makes sense. The more mouths to feed, the more brazen they get.

The bigger problem is the one you mentioned, bTB. Thats why we still cull them regularly. Though its still ridiculously hard to get your badger genocide loicense.

get fucked fatty.webp

I'm sure Nick's inbox must be going nuts.

Old Nick's up to something... wonder what it could be....

I'm saying it now; I would sooner live a life of iterant petty crime, gyppo maxxx, and live in a fucking caravan than be branded with a digital ID, and I reckon I'm not the only one.
I said something similar to my other half. If they put this into motion before my K1 application, I would rather go to the Mexican border and file for asylum.

This queer is back. Are you going to admit the police lied through their teeth and two foreigners approached a young girl for sex then assaulted her sister when she turned them down yet? Fucking faggot.

Nicks coming back to torpedo Reform. He needs to be told to fuck off to the cuck shed.

One of my favorite means of gauging the popularity/lack of popularity for Prime Ministers is what I call the nickname index
Namely, any name that is "recognized" enough for the trannies on Wikipedia to add to this list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_nicknames_of_prime_ministers_of_the_United_Kingdom
Positive nicknames are good, neutral nicknames are uncounted, negative nicknames are bad.
Kier is quite an odd case, because in his first few months he was racking up new derogatory nicknames like no tomorrow, but it feels like people have moved on from nicknames for Kier and have just started to refer to him with insults and slurs, which has lead to stagnation on the nickname index.
No prime minister in living history is as loathed.

"Will from The Inbetweeners" still fucking cracks me up for Rishi.

Turns out the new Home Secretary (in the job for about two weeks) is now being dragged into the £730k donations scandal. There was a cover-up in order to protect a Jewish donor, apparently.

Which Jew was donating £700k to the Labour Party? Especially in 2017 when Corbyn was in full control of the party?

The new Home Secretary has been dragged into the growing scandal over £700,000 of hidden donations to the think-tank run by Sir Keir Starmer's right-hand man.

Leaked emails have revealed that Shabana Mahmood was involved in discussions over why the political funding watchdog was not told about huge amounts of cash being given to Morgan McSweeney's Labour Together group as required by law.

She and her fellow MP Steve Reed, now in charge of electoral law, are said to have believed the money was being kept hidden from the Electoral Commission to protect a Jewish donor at a time when anti-Semitism was rife within Labour.

Last night the Tories – who called on the Electoral Commission to open a new investigation into the case and refer it to the police – said Ms Mahmood should come clean over what she knew about the alleged cover-up, given her department is responsible for law-enforcement agencies.

Jesus Christ, 2 fucking weeks!

These people were not picked for their skills. They were picked because they are Fabian sycophants who are all in on deceiving the public. Do they just all have a gun pointed at each other?

When the fuck has a Jew been concerned with being known to donate?!

Man, I don't think even Liz and Sunak's government had this many scandals. Way to make Tories look like the competent party.

Reform have truly nailed their colours to the mast and said that, if they won the next GE then they would make it far harder to stay in the country for legal migrants, including having to prove you earn a high wage and limiting dependents who can be shipped over here, and that they intend to kick people out en masse.

While I doubt the word of all Politicians, this is precisely what many, many people want to hear. Labour cannot top this and are fucked.

If you're going to be this retarded you shouldn't have your profile private so people can go there and tell you how to use the site. Highlight the text you want to reply to and something will pop up allowing you to reply quote just that segment. The only thing it doesn't work on is quote blocks inside someone else's post. Or you can learn the bbcode.

Modern fuel tanks used in commercial HFC vehicles are replaceable. When it reaches the end of its lifespan take it out and put in a new one. It's not like changing a bulb I would imagine, but it can't be one of the more difficult service tasks on a car - it's basically a cylinder with a valve and a sensor connection. They're no longer made out of just metal, either. They use carbon fibre lining. It's another way in which the proper comparison to HFC vehicles is battery vehicles in that you're swapping out an expired part. Difference being that the battery is a box filled with toxic metals and the HFC tank can be recycled. So far as I know, melt down and re-forge embrittled metal and it's back to how it started.
I'm still not sold on hydrogen, but I am slightly more optimistic. It certainly seems preferable to a battery-only solution.

I don't know much about wood gas
Wood is burned in a low oxygen environment to produce carbon monoxide and hydrogen, both of which burn readily to exhaust carbon dioxide and water. A lot of cars in Germany were converted during the war (because they couldn't get petrol), but I don't think that they've been used much outside of that. They do seem somewhat inconvenient, especially for a car, but I like the simplicity of the equipment and the abundance of the fuel source.

but I'm wary of biodiesal. I'm not really fond of setting up direct competition between food production and fuel production and it seems to me that if you're going to burn something for energy, petrol and gas are much better solutions.
Ideally there wouldn't be any competition, some crops (e.g. hemp) are more tolerant of poor conditions, and for some (e.g. cotton) the oil is a waste product of an existing industry. Algae is an interesting one because it's easier to take advantage of vertical space and pack more production capacity into a smaller footprint. I think it's still more expensive to produce bio-diesel than to extract crude, though.

Both wood gas and bio-diesel (and bio-gas) are renewable, carbon-neutral (if not carbon-negative) energy sources, unlike solar panels, wind turbines, lithium batteries, etc. (and they don't require running power lines across the countryside either, though I don't know how much of an impact they have aside from being ugly). So they're also quite useful for filtering people who actually care about the environment and those who only claim to do so.

I'm so sick of Kier Starmer's face. It makes me irrationally angry. I never want to see that mardy, flushed cheek, seconds-from-crying mush on my computer screen ever again. But he's there every time I go on the BBC website, looking into my soul. What's he doing now? "recognising Palestine", on my and the whole country's behalf? Well gee thanks mister, that was top of my fucking list of things I wanted you to get on with.

"Now is the right time"? Is that because now is when Donald Trump literally just left and you didn't have the balls tk do it while he was here? Or because now is when the question is being asked whether you should even be in charge of your own party, and you need a distraction in the news cycle?

And Yvette Cooper is warning Israel not to retaliate? Warning them? Who do you think you are? Who do you think we are, as a country, in terms of our importance and capabilities. What are we going to do if they do retaliate? Nothing? Thought so.

And who else have we got joining the party? Fucking Macron? Little boy molestation victim who thinks he's Jupiter. The lamest of lame ducks, also desperate for any distraction, and to do something "statesmanlike" before he's out on his arse? Great.

I'm so sick of Kier Starmer's face
I struggle to watch the guy. Even if you strip away the shit takes and bad decisions that issue forth from this smug cunt, he just looks like a gay HR manager. Which lines up well given the amount of verbal warnings that have been given out for spicy tweets. What an embarrassment.

I can't even feign anything over the Palestine decision. I couldn't give a solitary fuck. I hope both parties involved have a swift and brutal mutual destruction. I just see this as a last ditch attempt to try and secure some kind of support from a segment of the population. There are far more rabid mystery meat muslims and their allies of convenience than there are kikes and the kike adjacent. Will that translate into votes? We'll see.

He's such a desperate little fag.

They must likely talked about it tbh honest, and Trump most likely gave him the go ahead(although I doubt he will publicly acknowledge this)

It's much simpler: He smells money. He thinks he can grift on the back of the changing zeitgeist.

Reform have truly nailed their colours to the mast and said that, if they won the next GE then they would make it far harder to stay in the country for legal migrants, including having to prove you earn a high wage and limiting dependents who can be shipped over here, and that they intend to kick people out en masse.
I'm going to be that guy now and hope they make an exception for northern Europeans, and for Irish obviously, because they're close enough to us culturally and genetically that having them here doesn't make a difference. We've always had a small amount of population exchange with the low countries and the scandis. We need a blanket ban on new africans and every kind of asian, anyone muslim, and anyone from France. Anyone who yodels the shahada needs to be gone immediately.
