A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.


But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

I suspect Trump played this visit soft. He knows Starmer has one foot out of the door and is just allowing time to run out.

How he continues to treat the 4rth Reich that is Europe will be the determining factor.
 
Not worth watching the actual video but I can’t believe she made this video praising herself for deporting a single Indian migrant and claiming that is somehow a blow to the gangs. Didn’t we make a deal with the pajeets? Why couldn’t we send this one back directly?

I think the current gist is this guy IS an asylum seeker, but isnt staying at the hotel, but I havent been following it much. Police haven't said he's NOT an asylum seeker, but someone did confirm he's not at the hotel. Likely sleeping in a field behind the first school he visited, which explains the single set of clothes.

Trump didn't play soft at all. He went off script and told the world the UK refuses to use it's military to protect it's own borders. That is absolutely a slap in the face of Starmer. If Reform has any balls or Welshy wants to talk to his mate they should be jumping on Trump's word like they're the village bicycle. Ride them as far ans hard as they can. "We've just had to have Trump here to remind Starmer we have a military and can defend our own borders if we want to. So I ask, why aren't we defending our borders? Why are we letting these rapists and murderers in when we could station a few good men along out border and stop all of this over night?" I bet you even read that in Farage's voice.

£1800 to get the dinghy across, paid 3k to leave.
Care 4 Calais helps get rid of his id docs and train him to say he’s a 17 year and 11 month old Iraq war 1 conscientious objector to the patriarchy who would be shot for his pedophilia if he goes back so he can’t return and back to the uk he comes on the next dinghy.

My understanding of this exact situation is that an Indian National was returned to France because France has an agreement with India to return illegals.
In return an undisclosed migrant was swapped into the UK.

I want 1 in, 10k out.

Yeah, the legal immigration is the real insanity. I mean, I think it should be based on merit, and then no matter what color you are or wtf shithole country you come from, I don't have a problem with that.

But seeing how they have wholesale fastracked fucking Nigerians of all people in favor over those from, ooh, South Africa, say, well, what can you say. Obviously by South Africa I'm talking about Huwhyte Saffas, not the nogs, as they obviously are absolute fucking savages and don't even come in to the equation.

Governments don't make policy on this. They are just a facade. You might say it's the Civil Service but I wouldn't know about that. I think these things are decided in smokey underground rooms by cabals that are far more nefarious than either of those two entities (and that's saying something).

I think it's decided by far fewer people as well. And whoever it is, they are obviously bat shit insane. Them and their small little group of cronies.

Everything is going according to plan, everything is in order. The boats won't stop coming. The policy on legal migration won't change. And whether Farage gets in or not (and even if he did, he'd probably just quit the phony cunt) he's not changing anything that will make a difference in real world terms. Some other power play will come about and it will be the same old song.

As much as I would vote for a full on RWDS political party, I don't think that's happening any time soon. So things will amble on and the frog will keep getting slowly boiled. There are too many circuses and just enough bread for the moment for these things to change. But never say never because things are getting harder on the ground for the common man, as we have witnessed recently with him being less reticent to turn out at protests and whatnot, and we are all just one financial collapse away from mere anarchy where the center will not hold at all. They keep saying it's coming. It will at some point. Hopefully not in my lifetime or at least not in the lifetime of my dear old mum.

All the world's resources are getting scarcer. The low hanging fruit has already been taken. From arable land to much needed minerals and metals, and let's not forget good old fossil fuels, we are all pretty much played out on Global terms. Prices aren't high enough for those extracting resources, but they are already too high for the average consumer who need those resources, often just to survive in the form of non-discretionary goods. Financialisation and money games are not the real economy. Even goods and services are not the real economy really when it comes down to it. It's energy and natural resources (but I repeat myself).

I mean, like, nigger, wtf did you think was going to happen according to the maximum power principle when there are now like 8 fucking billion people on planet Earth. Those natural resources and energy (but I repeat myself) are a finite resource. I mean, it has to run out at some point, right? Or does the logarithmic exponential curve just keep going up vertically to infinity? I don't fucking think so. Do you?

Labour are a farce as a political party. The old Labour party died a while back when Tony Blair took the helm. To be fair to them, they did get the shit end of the stick when they got in this time around, but the Tories are no better, nor the Lib Dems or WTF. You might as well vote for the Monster Raving Loony party right now.

I admire (and respect) how a lot of you still think there's something worth fighting for as anarcho-tyranny is unleashed against the masses to baton down the hatches in the face of every dwindling resources. It doesn't help that these fuckers in power have always been corrupt as well. But here we are: living in interesting times.

I'll stop there because I've already sperged too much. And god forbid anyone would think I was black-pilling or trying to demoralize anyone.

Keep fighting the good fight my good Brit Bong niggas!

It's heartwarming if nothing else to see that others do actually care and believe they can make a difference.

And I would never try to take that away from anyone or discourage them from believing in a better day. Who knows, I might be wrong - it might actually make a difference. Who am I to say?

If nothing else, go down fighting - I think that's one thing we can all agree on.
