A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

Appealing this was the worst thing the gov could've done. All it'll do is harden tensions and it was correct since there were more fights at Epping outside the hotel last night. I don't even see how this will stop other court cases going ahead for every single migrant hotel since the decision the government put ahead in the appeal was specifically about Epping.
If you can't get rid of the hotels legally, you will find a way to remove them illegally. Hotels are very flammable and easy to make unsuitable to live in. If they keep trying to use lawfer to keep rapists in people's communities then the communities will go scorched earth on them. The hotel is already lost to the locals so they lose nothing removing it. A bottle of vodka and a rag is cheap and people are getting angry and desperate.

Labour's plan for change.. Give their mates more power to make departments and jobs for their mates. All of them brown.

Yet more bad news for Liebour:

Ministers didn't do cost review of council mergers

Rayner has to be sacked.
Are we at all surprised that they didn't do this? Who knew stapling either 2 shitty councils together just makes 1 massive pile of shit that can't sustain it's self or in other cases a shitty one and a good one just results in the shitty one brining the good one down to it's level via the increased tax.

They wanted these mergers to make these massively overbearing (often Labour ran funnily enough) councils to extend their reach and power and stave off any up coming local elections for a little while and they likely didn't give one single thought to the cost of doing this and all the technical issues it was going to cause.

Cooper's decision to appeal comes across as not only misguided but also unable to read the room at all. There is a risk of massive civil unrest and the stupid bint out of the options of accepting or appealing (pouring gasoline) picked the latter.

I suspect the reason for the appeal was that the private route of housing them in HMOs has not borne fruit. There is hardly any large property, and private landlords surprisingly don't like the idea of sacrificing their agency. Also, the Home Office does not have the budget to acquire these homes as it will cost billions and crash the housing market. Also linked to County Councils, they cannot buy these properties either because a lot of their assets are shored up in property, but are connected in funding their pensions. Their liquid assets are mostly shored up in maintenance, social care, and education. Most councils spend 90% on these factors alone, and the rest is salaries.

As for the council mergers, which from the get-go were nothing more than a commie grab at consolidating a weakening Labour council base. No shit, Ange, adding 500,000 blacks and ethnics onto a mostly white area with an 18-person police force might be a little retarded. This Liebour government like any good communist group, has not a modicum of forethought.

A lot of what Labour is doing I'm looking at, considering the general trajectory of things and feeling that we're seeing what in the near future is meant to be waved through. The increased difficulty of being a private landlord due to various recent changes in the law would push many out of that area leaving it open for larger property magnates to exploit. Some might even include the various slumlord MPs.

In 10 years time who knows what the situation might be, it might have been effortless for them to do this on "their" timetable.

From what I've seen the usual merger is a larger failing council will absorb a mostly okay smaller one and then steal from it. All those failing vanity projects bankrupt councils and then the smaller ones doing their job got swallowed up. All the funds for maintenance is taken away from the small one and pushed right into the larger one.

You know how major cities swallow all the resources and local places suffer around them? That's what the council merge did. It's stealing from small functional places to throw more money into bankrupt black holes.

I predict the next time there's a South port style incident the hotels will be laid siege to. Big Baz and his mates won't riot in the streets and fight the cops. They will go right for these hotels and either kill multiple illegal immigrants or burn them down. The way things are heating up and the government keeps putting targets down this is the only outcome possible. There's an angry mob looking for an excuse and these hotels are obvious places to attack full of the enemy.

Yup. For example, they're trying to forcibly merge the bankrupt Thurrock and almost bankrupt Basildon councils with the just about ok Southend council, to which Southend is quite rightly saying "go fuck yourself" at the moment, because it would immediately saddle them with over 2 billion in debt.

Absolutely fucking insane

The PM’s new economic head honcho led a landmark project calling for a series of massive tax rises. You’ll never guess who she was working with…

Starmer has brought former BoE Deputy Governor Baroness Minouche Shafik in as his new personal senior economic adviser in Number 10. Shafik was touted as a potential new Cabinet Secretary at the time of the election and has since undertaken a review of aid spending for Labour…

Shafik resigned as President of Columbia after the way the university dealt with protests over Gaza drew massive criticism. Prior to that Guido can reveal she was one of the few individuals on the Resolution Foundation’s special “commission” leading one Torsten Bell’s multi-year ‘Economy 2030‘ report. In fact, she co-chaired the entire ‘Economy 2030 Inquiry’ underpinning the report. Published on 4 December 2023, that report called for the following tax rises among others:

  • Cut the VAT registration threshold to £50,000 then £30,000.
  • Create Road Duty for EVs.
  • End free carbon permits & introduce carbon border adjustment.
  • Encourage local congestion charges.
  • Charge Capital Gains Tax on death and when moving out of UK.
  • Scrap non-dom status.
  • Hike national insurance for higher self-employed incomes by 300% to 8%.
  • Hike basic rate of Dividend tax from 8.75% to 20%.
  • Introduce NI for rental income.
  • Extend employer NI to employer pension contributions.
  • Cut the £270,000 cap on tax-free pensions to £40,000.
  • Make everyone pay inheritance tax by scrapping the nil-rate band.
  • Hike vehicle excise duty for heavier cars.
  • Introduce pay-per-mile road duty for electric vehicles.
  • Scrap business and agricultural property reliefs.
  • Raise Capital Gains Tax on shares to 37% and real estate to 53%.
Many of these will be familiar to co-conspirators aware of the Treasury’s new ‘Budget Man Bell.’ The Resolution Foundation described Shafik’s role in the Commission:

“a small Commission of seven high-profile thinkers and doers provided the Inquiry’s strategic leadership and direction for future work.”
The PM’s economic adviser is meant to bridge with the Treasury and push back where required. She’ll be “pushing back” against her fellow tax-fan and Budget architect Mr Bell…

Btw, she used to work at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation

Guess who works for Southend Council as a wage thief?

Jack Monroe.

@Kier Starmer My hope is that after Donald Trump goes for Soros he also goes for Gates and all the other vermin.

Fun fact, the Russian state would annually budget a part of its Government spending to pay off ECHR judgements / fines. As it turns out, if the punishment for doing something is a fine, it just becomes the cost of doing business.
This is bullshit. They signed up under Stalin and have ignored the rulings ever since.

Potato nigger slavs might not be human but they do understand having nuclear weapons and docile population of alcoholics and prostitutes who will be murdered if they ask questions means you can ignore things like the ECHR.

The Express are running this article (L/A):

One of the judges that threw a lifeline to Sir Keir Starmer by ruling that asylum seekers can stay at the Bell Hotel in Epping is a Labour activist, it has emerged. Lord Justice Bean, who delivered the ruling today, is a member of the the Society for Labour Laywers.

He led a panel that decided a temporary injunction preventing asylum seekers being housed at the Bell Hotel in Epping will be overturned. It meant the Home Office and Somani Hotels, which owns the Bell Hotel in Epping, Essex, have successfully challenged a High Court ruling that would have forced 138 asylum seekers at the hotel to be removed by September 12 - saving Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and Home Secretary Yvette Cooper from a nightmare. Other councils across the country were set to demand injunctions of their own.

What do you know, they did grease a judge's palms. Awful decision, at the very least pay off a judge that's a Tory or something. Seriously, who the fuck is running No. 10 at this rate?

"Mr. Bean overturns Migrant Hotel Injunction."
You can't make this shit up.

A Britcuck lawyer breaks down the latest high court ruling on the Epping appeal.

TLDR: The court rules that illegal aliens are entitled to free hotel stays and that the British people must accept and pay for them. Not surprising, anyone who thought 2 tier Kier would just roll over and accept this ruling was huffing their own farts, it got over turned in less then a week.

You will be replaced, you will not fight it and you will defiantly not be allowed to talk about it.

"Russia’s basic response to the ECHR judgments has consistently been prompt payment of the awarded compensation and costs ... Russia’s record in this respect is relatively satisfactory. ... they have largely honored their article 4663 obligations and complied with the monetary judgments of the Court. In fact, this degree of compliance has generally been praised as “exemplary.” In 2007, Russia set aside approximately U.S. $4.2 million to pay the ECHR judgments .. As of December 31, 2007, 59 percent of all payments have been made on time, 7 percent of all payments have been made after the deadline, and 34 percent of cases were pending for control of payment (which means that the information as to payment is still to be assessed by the Court)."

Fact check your shit before you call bullshit, Google ain't hard to use. Also Russia only became a signatory in 1996, 43 years after Stalin's death.

Blessing is disguise, I would prefer they be kept in the hotels and not sprinkled over our streets. It also made it sparklingly clear that they consider the rights of the English secondary to the rights of the rape apes, they even outright said it.

Accelerate.
