A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.


But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

So many of these illegals are allowed to remainon the basis they've a "right to a family life". They've been allowed to develop a "family life" by being put into communities and roam freely. They should be locked up in camps.

The default argument against camps is "they'll be violent places". If they're violent places it's because those there are violent, and why would we want violent and dangerous people here?

They could end this is they wanted to. They don't want to end it though. They hate you and they want to replace you.

They’re giving leave to remain out like it was sweets. It’s a pain in the arse hiring as you get a decent slightly off white candidate with an otherwise English accent only to have to spend half a day finding whether visa status is and what it means for how they can work.

My tin foil hat thing is they’re doing this to bring in ID cards and they’re going to make it were it’s just easier to have them that well beg to have this one other bit of liberty taken away.

Before any of you start with “just hire white people”, you’re a retard and there’s a reason I wouldn’t employ you and it’s not down to your race.

Cant you just ask upfront for proof of right to work and live here? I answered that in my application for my current job and then had to, after interview,provide documentary proof of it within 2 working days of the offer when I took my current job.

Prior convictions for arson, criminal damage, harassment and malicious communications. Has threatened people before. Couldn't find a video clip from the show.
 
I have several questions:

  • How are the migrants convinced to come to developed nations where they get free hotel stays? And who convinces them to go anyways?
  • Why do Western European governments allow and "socially engineer" to accept unchecked mass immigration despite the surge in crime?
  • Why are there so many military aged men from Bomalia and Bomalistan? Do women there have like 5+ kids each?
  • Why is it that it seems it's always military aged men from Africa and the Middle East anyway?
  • How do migrants make it over to developed nations anyway, finally arriving by boat or planes?

Rampant in all areas that they work.

People are getting very free with talking about this kind of thing the past year here in Ireland and I've got one of those faces that people like to confide in. Safe to assume the pattern matches in both states.

Stuff I've heard happening includes:

College bursary and college administered scholarships skewing massively ethnic when one of them was put in a key roll. Apparently it already was bad with a woke white in charge but now it's on red bull

a consultant who had to pay off a ethnic secretary to get rid of her because she was scheduling her co ethnics before whites with no regard to the medical urgency.

Loan officer promoted out of the role rather than let go because there was no avoiding the conclusion that the poorly performing loan book was primarily caused by loans to co ethnics that should never have been given a rubber stamp. That one came to light when the sheriff's arrived to repossess a restaurant fit out only to find the address was a vacant owned by a landlord in Pakistan

"Approved housing bodies" that the state is using to disburse housing funds in parallel to the usual county councils. They don't have to follow the usual "last on the list, last to get a house" rule and a few of them have been infected by ethnics so they favour their own. We had the phenomenon on a politics talkshow of an African glowingly telling everyone how happy she was to get a house so fast after arriving in Ireland a couple of years ago sat next to an Irishwoman who is rearing her kids in a hotel room for lack of a social house

The thing is, we all expect a bit of graft. I'd an aunt who used to be able to get a passport processed in a hurry if you were going on holidays but the ethnics are motivated by not so much as a love of their own as by a hatred of the native. They'll consider their co ethnics as good as family and act accordingly of course. A Muslim secretary to a surgeon might not push a black up the queue out of love, but they'll push a white right to the back out of maliciousness.

There are no good ones. Even the "good" Asians are only good in comparison
 
You can claim benefits in the UK, then if a Dr signs you off for "aided convalescence" you are allowed to leave the country for up to 6 months while still been entitled to your full benefits.
After 6 months out of the country you don't have to pay tax to the UK, so you can fiddle that to get more money.

I wonder how many Dr Khans and Dr Abdul's are signing off their paki mates for sad brain, who then float off to pakistan and live in squalor on the tax payers hard earned cash?

Even if you take it as given that there are genuine paragons of virtue among them (which I have to, I think, because my old GP fits that mould), it doesn't change the calculus. The "good ones" make up only a tiny fraction of the total population, to the point that they only even appear if there is a very large population of dregs to accompany them. This means, absent some system that only allows "good ones" to enter the country, the presence of even a small number of those supreme gentlemen is by itself an indication that you have a serious problem.

The first three episodes can be found on the Countdown wiki. He won four of the five games he played and had qualified for the finals before dropping out for "personal reasons". He seems really awkward and spergy in the bits I watched.

The GB News article says he was in HMP Altcourse (a men's prison) and then later HMP Downview (a women's prison with a troon wing).

Money. They're told that they can earn obscene amounts of money compared to what they'd get back home for a fraction of the work, and they don't have to live in a humid shithole where being abducted and cannibalized is a non-zero risk on a day-to-day basis.

Depends on your politics and how conspiracy-minded you are, there's multiple explanations:
  • Migrants tend to vote overwhelmingly for left-wing parties, so to those parties more migrants = more votes = they can get re-elected no matter what (and by the time it becomes an issue they'll be dead or retired)
  • Migrants create an abundance of workers, and this suppress wages which makes big businesses more money
  • People from the third-world tend to be relatively stupid and easy to control/manipulate, which makes them the perfect slave caste for the upper classes
  • If the masses are too busy squabbling over ethnic and religious tensions, they'll pay less attention to the higher powers robbing them blind
  • The politicians want some cushy job in some globalist organization like the WEF after leaving office, and those places tend to be very pro-migrant
  • Politicians are petrified of being called racist and losing their job, so they go along with it even if they disagree with it
  • Certain powerful Jews believe that White people are one of the groups that needs to be exterminated to bring about their Messiah
  • Your politicians simply just hate you and enjoy your suffering

Yes. In Niger, the rates over 7 children per woman on average, for example. Because contrary to what people say about children being expensive, if you're willing to live in absolute fucking squalor they're relatively cheap.

Because if the women and children go on the journey instead, they'll get raped or murdered by the men present on the journey. The men intend to get to wherever their destination is, then either apply for their spouse and kids to come over via family reunification, or they stay in their home country while the man sends the majority of his wage back to them as remittances.

Depends. Some will overstay tourism or study visas, while as others will pay large sums of money to third-parties to bring them over (or promise to work for said third-parties in exchange, usually in criminal activities).
