A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

I think he’s at the professional rather amateur level.
Please don't let Rupert be a warhawk too
Stop acting like a yank isolationist. You are a disgrace to the police service.

Anyone crying about bombing Persians or Slavs needs to be deported with boat monkeys.
David Walliams I can absolutely believe is as rapey cunt. Just look at him:
I seem to remember there was a story about him being creepy and trying to bang a 16 year old. But because he supports Labour and has the correct opinions whilst she was hot and became a model who sometimes modelled lingerie the lefty cancel model quickly decided she was a whore who was asking for it and the story was memory holed.

It's amazing to me it is somehow new news to anyone on here Russell T Davies is an absolute child fucker and groomer.

1. He's a faggot. Gay men target groom and rape kids. It's how new gays are made, with being gay wholly unnatural and abnormal. Gays don't exist naturally they're made when they're groomed and abused as kids.

2. His output of media is fucking obvious. If you want to see what kind of nigger loving, migrant cock swallowing, tranny worshipping faggot that man is, watch his show "Years and Years". He's blatant, upfront and clear about where his loyalties lie and this was half a decade ago and then some.

You should be at the stage where you don’t need to look it up.
I have it with events. I can just tell. Yesterday I thought to myself, I bet Jews owned the Windrush. Checked. Yup.

Not only owned it but they funded a marketing campaign in the West Indies advertising a wonderful new life if the black pay the fee to come to Britain. I bloody knew it.

Britbros, talking about nonces I remember a news article about someone well know in the premier league that was being investigated for raping a couple of teen girls in the 80s it sounded like he was a manager or something like that. There wasn't any more info of the case after that. Do you know anything about the case? It didn't sound like bullshit because two different women came forward with similar allegations.
This was normal until the 2000s. Celebrities of all professions would fuck young teenagers. Girls would throw themselves at them and with everyone doing it no one had a reason to call it rape or report it. The girls knew what they were doing and so did the celebrities. Girls gloated who they had bagged to their friends and it never went further than that. Social media and access to camera phones changed the game and now celebrities keep it to a single teenager or avoid it to not get #metooed. Everyone involved knows what they're doing. It wasn't a secret and their problem with Saville was that he went too young compared to the others and went to vulnerable kids. Most pop stars would pick a girl from the crowd who was fully developed and not be creeping on sick children in a hospital or kids who hadn't hit puberty. If Saville had been outed sooner then the entertainment industry would have had to admit they were all fucking kids. He was made the example and they all tutted while knowing fucking teenie bopper groupies was standard practice and as long as you didn't go too low (at least in how low they looked if not age number) no one was going to object. Many of the people arranging these girls to visit the star's dressing rooms have stuck around into upper management in the BBC now. They would get girls or boys from the crowd and ask if they wanted to meet the Top of the Pops singers knowing if they took them into the dressing room they would be getting fucked.

I reckon that might be a better fit. But I tell you who I would bet money on being a nonce - stephen fry.
Can't lose that bet.

From the Queer as folk (1999) wikipedia page.

The main characters are Stuart Allen Jones (Aidan Gillen), who is highly sexually active, and successfully so. His long-time friend Vince Tyler (Craig Kelly), who has a crush on Stuart, has less luck with men. 15-year-old Nathan Maloney (Charlie Hunnam) is new to the gay scene but is not lacking in self-confidence.

@Zoot
Can someone tell Farage to stop sucking brown cock? This type of thing will sink Reform. It's a confusing name that looks like a digital ID and it says they're doing to sell more of the country to brown foreigners. It's what people are picking reform to oppose.

Don't like this shit. This sounds to me a means to legitimize rich Muslim's to come in and buy up influence in our countryView attachment 7544894View attachment 7544904

Fucking hell. Reforms just a paki party isn't it.
Well, yeah. Of course it is.

If a party has non white people in positions of influence then they are not, no matter what you're told, in any way "for" the native population.

Everyone is racist to one degree or another and that's actually okay. But you cannot expect anyone who is a paki or a Muslim to give a shit about white native Brits.

I don't know what the solution is but Reform ain't it any more than the two Davos run parties are

It's Farage's ejector seat. If (when) the party properly boots yusuf, Farage will abandon it, call it racist, and claim another pension.

It's being debated so much in committee stages and people are pushing out lists like that but it's nowhere near that stage. I'll be honest I've been looking at it for a while now as a highly emotive news capturing bill that can soak up public attention and occupy headlines while the government do whatever they want in the background.

For those that don't know it's almost done the house of commons and the needs to go to the house of lords who go over it a number of times and then the final stage the king/queen rubber stamps it for royal assent to become law.

Do Arabs or the Chinese own more of this country now? Has there been any records of how the country has been sold?
They tend to want to own different stuff. The Chinese want to mostly own utility's and key infrastructure so that your country becomes solely dependent on the Chinese (and place more bought of execs and politicians). Arabs tend to want to own stuff like big hotels, media outlets and football teams as a way to show off. The exceptions to the rule being housing and property which the royal family alone owns over £1 billion in property.

A billion doesn't seem very much. A few country estates and you hit that easily. I want to know building ownership demographics.

It depends what the social contract is.

There's two audiences which Reform UK have to win over - us, the 'enlightened' people for whom political debate and discourse is part and parcel of us being here (as well as to guffaw at the lolcows) and the average village idiot who believes everything that the MSM tells them.

Stating that the UK will be changed into a fairer society benefiting all of us, and also proving that contrary to the MSM line that Reform UK aren't a racist party, will then make people not normally engaging in politics to think 'hang on, they're not that bad and at least would be better than what we have.'

Farage, as I've said many times, won't even do a full term as PM - he has health problems and smokes and drinks, he also allegedly still gets tremors after the plane crash incident. Should he become PM this year, he will stand down about two years later and by then we'll need a strong young leader who can become a real legacy PM and do 10-15 years in the job (maybe not quite a 'Walpole' but near enough). We need stability and to be steered in the direction of Common Sense policies and low tax.

Yet, for all the 'silly' things Farage has done or doing (many of which don't even impact negatively on polling) most people still want him and not Starmer - that's why Starmer is keen to distract from how bad he is doing by focusing on Iran (nice and convenient timing...) whilst maybe preparing his exit strategy if the issue of his leadership proves too hot to handle.

Zia is a blessing and a curse - Reform UK need his money and backing, but don't (and must never) compromise on our British values in exchange.

From polling at 1% a few years back to 34% now according to Ipsos, Reform UK have captured the public's mood and Farage, despite what some think about him, is seen as what Starmer isn't - confident and competent. The real 'meat' will be how they perform in Government, and whilst I have every confidence that they will be the start of better things and better days (I see those rainbows..) I accept that things don't always go to plan, but we will certainly not see such childish and morally vacuous people anywhere near the top table as we sadly have now.

As Bob Dylan sang - 'the times, they are a-changin'.

There's two audiences which Reform UK have to win over
yeah that's a fair counter.

And I suppose the Overton window is still shifting further in the ultimate direction we need to go. If reform don't go far enough, and immigration gets worse, it leads the door open for someone to take the the next step.

tbh, in a way its good that it doesn't satisfy those who want more, as they will keep organising on the fringe. the fringe is what keeps dragging the mainstream towards where we want it to go.

Pretty much what I think.

Farage is the start of the shift, it'll then be up to those who come after him to continue the good work.

Reform UK will only have themselves to blame if they don't go far enough, but I am quietly confident that won't be the case.

Let's just see what happens.
