A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

Will Starmer resign?
Will a paki take over?
Will there be a snap GE in which Niggel farage promises to stop the boats?
Will he run on a campaign of "give me votes and I'll stop the boats"?
Or will we see warp-speed 6 acceleration from two-tier queer?
1) Depends - if he has no choice then he will go, albeit reluctantly.

It then remains to be seen as to who is really in charge of the Labour Party - Starmer or McSweeney.

2) Unlikely - Labour don't even want a woman leader (and no, Margaret Beckett as 'caretaker' four times doesn't count).

3) Possible - Remember that I've intimated this and been called optimistic/autistic (don't worry, I haven't taken offence) and GE's have come about quickly and Government's have fallen due to total incompetency. Profumo brought the Tories down in the early 60s, Migrants etc. could in the 2020s.

I wouldn't completely rule out a snap GE on Thursday 10th July. We'll see, though.

4) All Nigel has to do is run a common sense GE campaign - yes, Migrants are an issue and must be stopped, but how's about axing or relieving the debts, bringing down the cost of living, reviving town and city centres etc? If he can do that, he will win and Davey or Denayer will be trailing. They, (LD's and Greens) however, have to appeal to Middle England as that is their auidence/target market.

5) No, Starmer will revert back to NPC type and say 'Labour is working, we are winning, Labour bot can't be wrong....'

Reform at over 500 councilors now

It's over 500!

If they make some money and everybody receives better healthcare, then so what?

As awful as American's health insurance system is, there's a reason why basically every major advancement in health originates from the US. Money talks.
And the standard of care in the US system is incredible and conducive recovering well. In the UK you get "corridor care", the Liverpool care pathway and an active downturn in health.

If you're lucky enough to get a bed you'll have nurses bellowing and blasting the radio all night, and will be on a ward with multiple other people, often elderly incontinent demented bed blockers.

Yes, you have to pay for insurance in the USA. But you have money taken from you wages in the UK to fund the NHS and this is,repeatedly missed, spent foolishly and wasted.

People in the UK need to stop being such precious retards about a crumbling, failing shitshow of a system which is killing people. We are enslaved to it because butbutbut muh ennaaayyhhhhhesssss is freeeeeeeee!!!

So just had a good look over the results after enjoying my day off in the sun and all I have to say is the following:

TOTAL CONSERVATIVE DEATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is all

So Reform are taking control of the country. Now how do the people take control of Reform? I trust Farage as far as I can throw him and triumphant tone of the thread acknowledged, I have to say the image of him as PM sickens me.

Went to Waitrose for lunch. I sneered at poor people when I left. It felt pretty good.
What were poor people doing at Waitrose for you to sneer at? Or has the store started shackling them outside for their customers to taunt?
Might give this a go in my local Booths
I believe there's one in Chorley that's next door to a Weatherspoons. If we go by stereotypes that should make it easier for you to do.

Either his own party puts pressure on him to stop being a cuck, America gives them their blessing and pledges to back him on any true right wing positions or he steps down and makes sure no brown takes over. Though I doubt any of that could happen when it comes to Nigel.

the reform sweep will definitely get the HR eu jannies to sabotage the party future success, the german intelligence came out and labeled the afd as an extremist group, you will see soros and his cronies pulling their gay ops again in the eu sorry guys.
Canada failed
Australia potentially gonna fail tomorrow

It's him as PM or Starmer/another Woke entity.

It's not as if we have a choice, there is no alternative on the Right.

Badenoch? - Hahahaha!

Simon/Golding (Britain First) - Too small, might get one or two seats next GE (Tamworth, possibly Telford as well)

Laurence Fox - Nope.

David Kurten - Nope.

Nick Tenconi (UKIP) - UKIP had their moment, I voted for them back in the 2010s, but they are too small/fringe now to be considered as mainstream anymore.

John Tyndall (BNP) - After Nick Griffin, they ceased to matter in any way,

Tony Martin (National Front) - Nope, too far right for some.

William Clouston (SDP) - Too niche a party.

Either his own party puts pressure on him to stop being a cuck,
They've been purging the party of any members of the original grassroots who don't fall in line. They've brought in new campaign management at the top (incl. many who previously worked for the Tories) and have made the hierachy much more top-down. And you saw what happened to Rupert Lowe who is a political heavyweight on the Right in the UK and even he was jetisoned for being too dangerous. Reform is running a very tight ship right now.

America gives them their blessing and pledges to back him on any true right wing positions
Well there's significant money pouring in from American backers. They were forming some sort of (potentially illegal) US style PAC to fund Reform last I heard. But what do you mean by "America"? America isn't some single entity out to bring "right wing positions" to the world. The USA doesn't have friends, only interests. That doesn't change under Trump.

or he steps down and makes sure no brown takes over.
I could see Farage standing down at some point but now I'm not so sure. I'm thinking he's starting to like the power. I'm told it can be intoxicating though I wouldn't know as I've never had any. He's the Jordan Peterson of politics in that he said something some people disagreed with and the more they pushed against him for it, the more he began to float upwards on their ire. He's not an idiot but he's almost the definition of right place and right time.

the german intelligence came out and labeled the afd as extremism group, you will see soros and his cronies pulling their gay ops again in the eu sorry guys.
It's too late to pull that shit now; AFD are taking over certain German states and are topping some opinion polls doing moderately well at up to 1/3 of the vote; Reform just blazed waaay past that seizing solid 1/2s all over the place, this is now a revolutionary situation.

Simon/Golding (Britain First) - Too small, might get one or two seats next GE (Tamworth, possibly Telford as well)
I'd like to remind you also that Britain First is filled with retards who couldn't even spell-check their leaflets back during the last London mayoral election. They're a deeply unserious party who'll never get anywhere close to the sceptre.

1. Leaning no, but we'd have to see what his response to this wipe-out is. If he blames it on the current party direction then he might, but whether he'll pivot into promising to deliver change himself or having someone more capable of doing so is yet to be seen. Maybe he'll then get no-confidence'd.

2. Probably not. While it's not impossible, the replacements for party leader typically come from a prime minister's previous cabinet (since that gives them clout) and requires the candidate to put their name forwards, have enough MP and constituent votes to get nominated. Then the Labour party members and union reps have to vote from a shortlist, whittle it down to two, then vote for which one they want from the two at the end.

Starmer has 1 Muslim in his cabinet of 25: Shabana Mahmoud, the justice secretary who pissed off people with her sentencing guidelines. As horrific as the possibility is, David Lammy probably has a better shot than her. I'd go: Rayner > Reeves > Miliband > Cooper. Mahmood is top 10 but only because her name is at least out there.

3. They don't really have a reason to do one right now because it'd mean giving up their super majority in parliament, but it's typical at this point to have one a year or so after a PM resignation. If there is one, Niggel Ferari will definitely promise to stop the boats.

4. If the snap election comes as a surprise (which Sunak's supposedly was), yes, because it'll be the only material to work with short-term and is easy to keep hammering home that, yes, they're the party that's supposed to stop immigrants. This time for real, promise and pinkie swear.

5. That comes after he wins and rugpulls :) Edit: Read that shit hyper-wrong. Depends on whether he resigns or not. If he doesn't, then maybe.

Reform unironically have higher odds of giving us a Muslim PM than Labour if you think about it:
Reform does not have a procedure for voting in a new party leader so Zia could just become party leader if Reform leadership decides it -> Zia Yusuf is 4th on the leadership hierarchy and pretty influential -> PM needing to be an MP is just precedent, not a rule.

AHAHAHAHHA. If this was mapped to a general election, this is what it'd look like:

1746199801625.webp

And the actual prediction based on this if yesterday was a general election:
1746199832825.webp

This really puts into perspective just how well Reform did yesterday.
