A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

Rees-Mogg walked over and put himself between the woman and the weird smelly looking angry lefty guy.
Do you remember which talk this was from and whether there is any footage? I've seen him being mobbed by a group of activists when he was walking with his son. It was out of order.

Mogg just took it all in his stride and was entirely comfortable being himself.
He's unapologetically high strung. At least he's honest about that. But there's more to assessing a politicians worth than their personability or character. The history of their decisions, commitments to bad policies, support for dishonest and ungrounded Tory party leaders should also factor in. He was part of the sinking of the Tory ship and he's cashing in on GB News by telling the 'truth' and 'the facts'. If only he was as transparent when he was a sitting MP.
If I had five kids and could afford it, I would 100% hire a professional nanny to help out my wife with everything.
So would most people, if money was no object. But holding Victorian views on the family unit puts you out of touch with almost all of the country. It's quaint, but it makes Mogg look like a prat. Prince William has a more grounded view on family responsibilities and he's a literal prince.

If I remember correctly it was a talk at Bristol uni and it was filmed. It was a good few years ago.

Yes, I’ll take ‘not actively evil and does their best.’ Either side of the aisle. Rory Stewart maybe? Someone will now tell me he bbqs cats or something. Alastair darling maybe.
Rory Stewart is a massive faggot who tried to ignore the brexit referendum results because he is a massive EU cuck and left the conservative party over it
Media tries to push him hard on conservative voters because he's essential a lib dem wearing blue
He's also responsible for whatever the fuck this is

Also here's the """Conservative""" Rory saying he would be willing to serve in Starmer's government

Got a leaflet through the door from the Liberal Democrats today. With everything going on, the riots, the heating allowance, mass immigration, the local lib dems are promising to increase the number of fines for dog poo.
You get a £100 fine for dog poo. That's enough to make most people try not to and send the general message. Slapping on ridiculous fines to things just breeds further anger. What they should promise is to start enforcing the existing transgressions.

No, they should start hanging dog cunts. Especially ones who take dogs into pubs thinking it makes them working class. Fuck off with your bag of fur, you dippy self hating middle class cunts.

If I am buying a DVD I'll just check out CEX
Imagine the smell

You should need a license to own a dog. Crackheads, smackwhores, chavs, and general dossers who can't train wild animals should be banned from having them and their dogs clubbed to death in public to teach them a lesson.

And anyone who brings one into a pub should be strung up from the nearest lamppost.
And pelted with rotten fruit and dog shit.

Right on que, the dirty, back-peddling bastards.

Man says he has been 'left to rot' after Covid vaccine

On 15 December 2021 Larry Lowe’s life changed.
He was 54, rarely ill, fit, healthy and running 10km most days until he got the Pfizer Covid booster.
Within days he developed numbness in the right side of his face and started experiencing pain.
"I had lost all the feeling in my face, teeth, nose, tongue, eye, that whole side of my head," he said.
These symptoms have spread through his body and intensified over the years, with doctors across the UK saying the vaccine is to blame.

Pfizer said patient safety was paramount and it took reports of adverse reactions very seriously.
It said hundreds of millions of doses had been administered globally "and the benefit-risk profile of the vaccine remains positive for all authorised indications and age groups".
Mr Lowe, who is from Omagh in Northern Ireland, said that while he was not opposed to vaccines, his life had been destroyed.

What does the Public Health Agency say?

Northern Ireland's Public Health Agency (PHA) said the benefits of the vaccines in preventing Covid-19 and serious complications associated with it far outweighed any currently known side effects in the majority of patients.
Mr Lowe was referred to Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital in London where he was told the vaccine "was being recognized by my body as a toxin, and that was the cause of my problems".
He broke down and cried.
"My wife and I were sitting in this little room in Westminster with consultants telling me the vaccine had destroyed the nerve on the right side of my face, and it was highly unlikely that I would ever recover from it," he said.
In letters, seen by BBC News NI, London pain management specialists confirmed the onset of symptoms could be attributed to the Covid vaccine booster.
In correspondence to Mr Lowe's GP last May, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Trust confirmed that “our multidisciplinary team were in agreement that the onset of symptoms could be attributed to the Covid vaccine booster”.
In April 2024, Mr Lowe was diagnosed by a consultant neurologist at the Southern Health Trust with a “painful trigeminal neuropathy” which had “the Covid vaccine as its main causative factor”.
He also developed a small fibre sensory neuropathy which the consultant said “is also one of the post-vaccine related neurological presentations”.
"I struggle when I think about what another 10 years is going to do to me, because in the three years roughly that I've had this, it's destroyed me and it's getting worse," Mr Lowe said.

What symptoms does Mr Lowe have?

Mr Lowe said the small fibre neuropathy affected his entire body, from toes to fingertips.
He suffers from dry eye syndrome and wears sunglasses inside and out because of his sensitivity to light.
"I feel as if there is a clamp on both sides of my head, squeezing it all the time," he said.
"I've been told that my condition is progressive. It is going to get worse.
"I didn't ask for this," he said.
He said he took the vaccine in good faith and feels he has been "left to rot".

'My life is barely worth living'

Us tinfoil hat enjoyers said the media would turn tail a few years after the covid dust had settled and begin peddling "oh my god, how bad are these vaccines? how could we have ever seen this coming? we're as shocked as you!" articles.

And here we are. Scumbags.

She attended a Grammar School before getting into Oxford, also the first (and I still believe only) PM to hold a STEM degree.
And she then re-trained into Law and did the Bar exam.

People absolutely despise Thatcher and get their panties in a wad over butbutbut muh mineerrzzz, but they always overlook the fact that the preceeding Labour Government closed far more mines than the Tories did. Tories might have hammered the last fewnails in the coffin lid; Labour made the coffin and dug the grave.

Anyone see that Alex Salmond is dead? Hahahaha. Hilarious he died without seeing an independent Scotland or getting another referendum.

My Scottish friends are expecting this to be like Al Fayed and their to be an enquiry when a ton of women he groped come forward.
I've heard the same, although I've been a bit disappointed, lots of people saying they're going to post lots of defamatory things about him on Twatter, but nothing as of yet. I don't think defamation applied if the person being implicated is dead, although I'm not an expert on Scottish Law or if libel/defamation/slander works differently up there.

It will be interesting what comes out though. Just a pity that, like Saville, he mnaged to escape justice while alive, if there's any weight or merit to the accusations.

The dead can’t sue you. His supporters are fucking mental. Imagine if Reddit, O&A forums, and Doxbin had a baby, then that baby was shut in a dark room and molested by Rab C. Nesbitt. It doesn’t matter how legal what you say is, they’ll be crying to your police and employer and the press about how offended they are until you’ve got the police at your door, a meeting with HR, and your name in the papers.

The court case against him collapsed as it looks like there was some deliberate fuckery by the SNP and doxing and harassing by Alex supporters who thought it was a grand conspiracy cooked up by MI5.

Its going to take a brave journalist to bring this up, despite it being a matter of public knowledge that women were advised not to be in his office alone WHEN HE WAS FIRST MINISTER and was almost banned from Edinburgh airport for harassing staff.

This will be another case of the establishment knowing the entire time and pretending to be shocked when it comes out.
