A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

Something horrifying and scary for you late at night Chunky.

I'll spoiler it, just in case......

I think he'll come out with a statement that will boil down to 'I am going to transition out of my position and someone else will step in to fill the role' but no timeline will be given. If anyone is anointed for the position I think the money is on Streeting.

That or a leadership contest between him and Miliband. Half the party really want Burnham but they would have to parachute him into a safe labour seat. There's 2 major issues with that
  1. What even is a safe labour seat at this point
  2. A labour MP in a safe seat would have to resign it would be blatantly obvious what they were doing and the opposition could slander the whole thing as one constituency choosing the next PM
The funniest possible outcome is that they try to get Burnham in and he loses the by-election.

90% of PM's under fire resign right before the media lay off. STARMTROOPERS HOLD THE LINE! TRUST THE PLAN!

I really don't understand the weird power that Miliband appears to wield. That man is the human equivalent of a cress sandwich and yet there's been this persistent push to put him into power for years.
I'll admit I like the thought of Miliband rather than Starmer, but I'd prefer Cherie Blair in Number 10 at this point.

At this point Neil fucking Kinnock or the ghost of Michael Foot would be preferable. At least the latter may have some grip on reality.

I'm going against the tide here and I'm going to say that Starmer is in for the long haul. The Night of the Blunt Knives clearly failed, in no small part because the PLP are spineless and Wes Streeting is even worse than Starmer.

The night of the butter knives, that no-one in the Labour Party had a loicense for.

But seriously, I agree. It’s become all about staying in power (or gaining power if you’re not there). What the country needs is unimportant compared to being in the right places with the right people. Politics has ceased to deal in reality and deals in how they wish things were. Perhaps there’s a childish belief that by running the country and legislation that way they can will their ideal world into existence, but it doesn’t work that way.

I’d go as far as to say that politics in many European countries, as well as the US & Canada, has ended up this way. Truth and reality ignored for whatever keeps power. A political vacuum where there are almost no parties committed to dealing with what’s actually happening.

If they think Reform is the threat, they’re way behind the curve. This state of play trends ever more towards violent upheaval, the less politics represents and functions for the people. It just takes one person to stand for reality, and they’ll sweep the entire board with Labour, Tories, Lib Dem’s and whoever.

Either that or there’ll be a handy dandy world war to keep us all occupied while politics gets to hide behind it and play saint.

I’m jaded, and I expect the Starmerbot2050 to lumber ever onwards. Besides, can you imagine having David fucking Lammy as PM? And people thought Boris was embarrassing. God I hope I haven’t just willed that into existence.

I'm surprised that repealing the Digital ID Internet act isn't even on the table anymore.

Did everyone just thought that everything will be fine by paying monthly VPN subscriptions (that not every normie has the knowledge to do) or they had pretty much given up and resigned to globalist whims?

Now why would you dox Chunky like that? That being said videos like this make me think the Japs have the right idea with cameras making shutter sounds when in use. Can't enjoy a moment of peace without some retard recording you nowadays. The surveillance state is your neighbour, their Ring doorbell camera and their social media obsession.

If the Greens held themselves to the same standard
If the Greens had any standards at all there wouldn't have been the Challenor Debacle

TLDR: Crazy tranny, had father as election agent while father was on bail for imprisoning and raping a child. The Greens knew and continued to endorse the Challoners for years. In the end Challoner went to the Lib Dems where he was welcomed with open arms. He's now in the US living in some kind of ABDL polycule.
You don't hate them enough.

The bodies of three women have been recovered from the sea at Brighton this morning. (Though as far as I can see from comments under news articles and on X, the first reports were in the Express and they claimed it was three girls, all reports now say women.)
  • The bodies of three women have been recovered from the sea in Brighton, police say
  • Sussex Police say emergency services were called over concerns for the welfare of the women at around 05:45 today
  • "This is a tragic incident and fast-moving inquiries are ongoing to confirm the identities of these three women and understand exactly what has happened," Chief Superintendent Adam Hays says
  • The public have been asked to stay away from the scene near Madeira Drive

Well they can't have come off a dinghy. It's only ever young men on those.

Sometimes they have female corpses on board that show all the signs of being raped and beaten to death, but for some reason that never makes the news.

God almighty that's heinous. How truly awful.

I've got tonight off work and I think my plans are going to be, stay in my home, do some sewing and stay away from everyone. Lock the front door and stay cozy. Shit like that is disgusting. And yes, I know, boat vermin are all bad but reading it put so bluntly is sickening.

There was the two women/girls last week, 16 and 18, who were found dead, seemingly of suffocation, on a dinghy that did a little tour of the French coast and washed back up on a French beach. The 80 other passengers, seemingly all men, survived.
