A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

1. Diabetes. Subcontinentals especially are skinny fat, very low muscle mass (muscle acts link a sink for blood glucose) and they develop diabetes at a far higher rate and lower BMI than whites do.
Unlike most of the health issues for Asians mentioned in this thread, this one tends to be true of East Asians too with rates of type 2 diabetes surging in China, Japan, South Korea, etc.

I have to admit that, in seeking to escape the news, I think we might suddenly have a "something has happened" event. The tension is not only online, but also in conversations and the general atmosphere. The amount of disgusted looks from white women to Indians and Blacks on the train, I have seen lately, is wild. I am in a predominantly white area too. The times I see white women on the train move away or stare at Blacks to not sit by them, now it's wild. The other day, an elderly white lady moved next to me, when a Black guy went to sit next to her. I nearly laughed out loud.
I think you're spot on.

The media is giving the Government pelters over the wasted billions spent on asylum hotels and even the normally Woke BBC and Guardian are now starting to question things - hubris or not, there is definitely a change in the air and though things take time eventually 'something has happened' happens from out of the blue and changes everything.

Even the Pochin story about blacks in adverts seems to have been forgotten about.

Streeting raged about her racism, yet went very quiet when it was mentioned that he knew that one of his aides (Sam Gould) was a dirty pervert and still tried to save his skin...

Talking with somebody who has worked in the media first thing, he said that most black people he's spoke with about what was said agree - it's pandering to them and they don't want it because it's setting them up for a fall when people don't buy from the companies these black people are advertising.

I'll be out shopping for a neighbour in a bit, and I'll have to pass a Barbers which rarely has people inside being served, yet the owner owns a brand new 'Beamer'.

Importing coofing, tb-riddled foreigners into a country is no different than introducing a plague-infested bovine carcass into castle grounds by way of catapulting it over the walls.
Yeah, I've heard this song before, Neil Ferguson is the original artist, he recommends that we have to cull them and burn them.

Edit: @Heinrich Maneuver oooh, Elphaba has a thread here, not sure how up to date it is, but I remember it starting, I'll see if I can find it

There's some degen tranny in Bristol (iirc) called "Elphaba", who the youths love to torment because he is a category 5 spastic prone to MaccyD's violence and body fluids on camera. Anyway this wretched mongrel has fucking scabies and regularly goes out with scabies. Scratching and shedding all over the place. How PHE haven't burnt him on a woodpile like the foot and mouth cows I will never understand.
Please tell me he has a thread on here.

I don't know whether to thank you or not for crossposting this... perfect example of why we need to stop letting Devonians retards breed. Many British sloptubers cover his latest tiktok freakouts (all while calling him 'she') if you can stomach him. He gets cancelled about once a month for calling 111 for an ambulance and then freaking out, being about 40k in debt, being a nonce, being a raging autist who can't stop screaming Defying Gravity.... etc

I actually had a dream about that the other day. Flashback to when they were doing all the burning. I was in a car driving through the lakes becasue we’d tried to go hiking and everything was closed off, and they were burning huge piles of animals and the smell from it I couldn’t keep out of the car.
I was dreaming about it last week, driving and palls of acrid smoke from nature burning. The smell of it, it just stuck to everything I was wearing, and the tent, and I actually had to bin a few things. Weird you can dream about a smell. Urgh.
Ferguson is someone who deserves a spotlight on him. He’s a bad ‘un.

I noticed the drop in the Pochin story too, and the backchat about Sam Gould was brutal. His silence was deafening, and you could tell from the look on his face. The inward thought of control is lost, and the media are starting to back the crowd that will eat Labour. Labour are dependent on the British media, and with the BBC, albeit bankrupt, they have lost that arm.

If the Income Tax increases, they will lose the lower civil service, such as the Police and the council peons. The Police are, of course, the major group. If that group is lost, it creates an explosion waiting in suspension to ignite. It's a matter of WHEN and WHERE. Of course, this is something David Betz has stated to the Government, countless times. Starmer's Cabinet has actually facilitated everything he warns against because if you facilitate it, you create an indefinite trigger event.

Speaking of which, as I was typing

Classic NPC response, he thinks he will get another Reform MP to be ousted. Why would they though, because they control the polls. I sometimes think his strategists do this to create more issues for him, or he has a fetish for it.

As with the NHS, as someone who has worked in that area as a nurse. It's never been so Joever, nurses are leaving the sector at a breakneck pace, with the 2020 nurses called in about to go back into retirement.

This is one incident of 100s happening across the country;

You can't make this stuff lately.

We go from the one in one out migrant coming back on a boat like everyone expected, to a migrant being accidentally released and only getting found days later.

I honestly wonder what is the next thing to come out of this clown show.

The NHS is fucked for good reason, any female white nurses left are faced with
>Troons in the changing rooms going "ARE YOU GETTING CHANGED YET?"
>Jeet doctors who bought their degree from a random jeetshit university getting patients killed (say anything and I blame you to of kill babies maam)
>Entitled asshole boomer patients that are in no small part responsible for the first two problems becoming problems.

Tear it down and start again.

Ah, I was wondering why the Guardian and Independent were both having a meltdown over a "journalist" being arrested.

i went to maccies the other day for the first time in over a year(was doing an airport drop for a friend and wanted to grab something quick).
I nearly spit out my greggs when I saw that normal, full fat coke, was +20p on top of the price because of the sugar tax and a global-warming-fighting, world-saving, recyclable bags are now +10p on top of the price.

Friends say paper bags are all 10p nowadays. What happened to them being free because they're biodegradable?

I went for a Maccies breakfast the other day during my shop and I am saddened that what was their best thing is now shit tier. The only thing holding up Maccies was their breakfast. I am now using the local bap house, Fucking £9 for a breakfast, what in the ever-loving fuck.

The past few months, I have nearly sworn off takeout. I occasionally have the odd pizza, like once a month. I have had to use the Chinese over the Pizza place because the drop in quality is so vast.

I now bake biscuits because, honestly, BAKING FUCKING SHORTBREAD is cheaper than a high-quality pack of biscuits. I was pleasantly surprised when I calculated that buying the ingredients for cookies was cheaper than a nice pack of cookies. I have been surprised by how good an air fryer is. The only thing I am not doing is baking bread in it; instead, I am using a bread maker, but I have been making my own sourdough yeast. I even went to the local dairy and got my own fresh milk and made butter. I am lucky I am from a farming family, but I was taken aback by how self-sustaining the locals are. There are several jam and baking groups, where we trade resources. One of the bakers I know makes cakes, and I trade her sourdough bread.

So Starmer, in all his efforts of fucking over the countryside, has made the country towns more self-sustained and hateful of outsiders, good going, Keith! Mention Labour in Lincolnshire, and they will call you a faggot instantly.

You ever held a handful of fast food slop in the fist of your hand and given it a good squish to see what pours out? Ichor, pure ichor.
My parents did it when I was 9 while explaining how heart attacks work (it's just like a clogged toilet!), and I've never looked at a "happy" meal again since.

Nigel Farage is calling for Parliament to hold (another) Grooming Gangs Commission led by MPs and Peers. Once again, we don't need fucking inquiries and commissions, we need rope. Lots of it.

He's playing 6D chess, trust me on this bros.
Maccies/takeout in general is fucking shit. Aside from being slop, justeat/uber has utterly ruined the experience. I picked up some pizza a while ago (not kebab-chicken-pizza shop shit, proper oven stuff) and witnessed about three drivers just shove their phones into the cashiers face while waiting. Unbelievably rude (and they get served before other customers because they'll start to kick off)

1. Diabetes.
It's more than that. Africans specifically have a lower prevalence of sugar tastebuds, Asians do too but not to the same degree, no idea about subcontinentals or arabs. They literally do not taste things that are sweet as sweetly as we do. So it makes it much easier for them to overconsume sugar. Also why they feel the need to throw cups of straight sugar into fucking everything they cook. What would be sickly to normal people is fine for them. But they just call that racist and continue to eat themselves into a coma because its just dey wippipo don be seasan dey donut you feel.
Friends say paper bags are all 10p nowadays. What happened to them being free because they're biodegradable?
The 10p tax is on the food inside the bag. That's the part that's nonbiodegradable.
There are several jam and baking groups, where we trade resources.
All of ours have a fucking yearly deluge of about every fucker in the county posting 'i have about 50kg of spare rhubarb does anyone want it' and no one does because everyone has their own rhubarb plant and they might as well be literal fucking weeds at this point.
Unbelievably rude
They normally get kicked out and told to wait outside the restaurants (actual restaurants not fastfood shit) which is normally fine. But man one time this fucking absolute retard I don't know if he just never grew up or he is just retarded but he was doing that malicious compliance thing, he fucking stood in the doorway, completely blocking anyone from getting in or out, had his bike in front of him too so extra blocking everyone. And the fucking retard was holding the fucking door open while doing this. He positioned himself so that both him and his bike were in the path of the door so it couldn't close in the middle of fucking winter in the coldest and wettest part of fucking England after everyone inside had taken their coats off and he just dropped the temperature in the restaurant by about 10c because he was some childish faggot. One of the waitresses went up and told him to grow up but he just said no I need to stand here otherwise I won't be able to hear you say the food is ready. She gave up because she was at the maximum 5ft tall and the guy was obviously some lanky somali. So he just continued to stand in the doorway letting the cold air in and when the chef shouted idk delivery order ready he didn't even do anything and stood there until the waitress hand delivered it to him.

Breakfasts in general are for when you're traveling all day and won't be able to get lunch at a consistent time. I barely ever have breakfast because it's such a waste of calories that can be spent on having a nicer lunch. Whenever I'm coming back from a gig it's always nice to get a large Spoons brekky with an entire days worth of calories just simmering around inside me while I'm fucking about with trains.

Also

Even the Pochin story about blacks in adverts seems to have been forgotten about.
The biggest thing about this story isn't even what Pochin said, it's how the media dealt with it. 15 years ago this would have been a 24 hour coverage story where the establishment did everything they could to get rid of her, but instead she basically apologised (read, rephrased what she said to say the same thing) with no real drama.

If I was Cadbury's or John Lewis or Marks and Spencer's I'd be sweating right now, all the Christmas adverts have been recorded and set in stone and they'll be absolute BAME slop and absolutely rinsed on social media with people quote tweeting the Pochin clip. If she'd said this back in August they might have had time to tweak their campaigns so they were a little whiter, but the backdrop is going to be a complete bloodbath of people going "that's it, I'm never shopping at X again".
