Oh Rowlings detective fiction.
The ones where she pretended to be a man to see how much better the reaction to her book would be. Except for the parts where she used her status as J fucking K Rowling to ensure her alter-ego made it to print. I clocked the author as less than masculine before the 'news' broke, but I thought that might have just been becuase he was a limp-wristed britfag. (Sorry Fogniggers, its true)

I've read two of them. The first one was OK. Not great, fairly standard UK Detective fiction. Main character is an interesting concept, but if you asked a 40 year old woman to imagine - Like really, really imagine - what it was like to be a likeable Afgan Special Forces vet missing most of his leg and she actually did try, the main character was the result of that. Without giving out too much of a spoiler, as its a britbong novel the real villain was racism.

The second book, the bones of the story was actually pretty good. The murder investigation was better. She injected a tranny for lots of discussion of relevant social issues but there was an actual narrative reason beyond "I want to be progressive and have a tranny for inclusion!". the problem was Rowling turned her self-insert from "competent when instructed" to "Oh tee hee I guess I'm just a natural at stunt driving and never mentioned it". I knew the authors identity when I tucked in that one, but if I hadn't I would have known for certain as she Mary Sued the living days out of her self-insert.


Contrast this with John, where when you see his work, you have a hard time clocking the creator as human.

Also, not nearly a high enough suicide rate.

Seems to be the case.

Cenk has all but jumped ship from the PAC, he's not even the treasurer anymore. Instead he put a random lady on that position.

Wu's 5 minutes attention span in between Ambien hazes is over, and since the PAC didn't instantly make her a household name as an important national political player she doesn't care for it much.

Ironically, we here at Kiwi Farms are likely the ones most interested in the PAC (because we want to laugh at it). And even here the Rebellion PAC thread only managed three pages before hitting a bollard and stopping.
