I know everything she says is a lie, but I feel like every time this story comes up the amount of time between the first date and engagement and marriage dates gets shorter and shorter.

You're not imagining things, John changes the story every time and none of John's versions remotely match Frank's version. Frank claims it was 36 weeks.

You beat me to it. I never get tired of this lie, it's just such a pointless fabrication. I'm sure it must be psychologically necessary for this to be true for Wu, but I can't for the life of me work out why.

Interestingly while I was digging through Frank's old livejournal archives to remind myself of the actual truth I noticed a couple of details I'd missed in previous readings. At some points in the past Frank appears to have believed both that BriBri wasn't actually from Mississippi but only went to university there, and also that she had a degree from Ole Miss. Presumably Wu must have told him the lie she's told elsewhere that she was actually from Washington DC.

It makes me wonder, when Wu was lying about being a postgrad student as Boston City University, was that also a lie she was telling Frank? Did she actually attend any classes at all, or was that just an excuse for why she didn't get a job?

In any case, Frank must be fully aware the BriBri is a pathological liar. I wonder how he actually feels about seeing BriBri lie constantly about herself on twitter and in print? It must be odd to be burdened with someone else's lies.

It is unclear whether a person who pathologically lies is aware of their deceit or is capable of thinking rationally about their lies.
