I've speculated in the past that they might have been the ones that finally forced him to get a (part time) job at Gamestop, something he would never do on his own, then they either got tired of him or he met Frank and dropped them like a rock or both. He only talks about living with his 'aunt', never a good word about the person/people that took him in. He's had more and better things to say about his actual parents(like how they gave him $250,000).

It's believable that he didn't have much in the way of money during the Colorado adventure, looking at his PSN and Xbox profiles he didn't get many/any new games until he met Frank and then he got a lot of new games.

Consider this: John claims to be the world's foremost expert at the Unity game engine, something he has displayed not even remotely basic competence at. If he claims to be 96th best in the world at a tiny sliver of the speedrunning community for one game, how bad is he? No matter how bad he is, he cheats even to be that bad.

I think it's one of her more creative works. Granted it's not as plausible as some of her other stuff and it's got continuity problems, but think about it like the different timeline and universes comics and start trek use -- it's sort of the WTM (Wu twittermatic multiverse). Maybe after be PAC folds he can do one of those clash of the timelines wars to get some hype.
Like Rich White John is in orbit in his space camp shuttle crewed by a crack team of yes men only effective because they were molded by WJ's vast management talent. They lob moon rocks at poor black John who speed runs through the cotton fields and defty navigates the waterways at night with no wake whatsoever. who then uses the engineering side of his brain to pull a MacGuyver A-team and fit up old tractors with torque vectoring to repel the ground assault.

What legitimately baffles me on the whole "muh southern roots" bullshit is how no one calls him on it, ever. It's all so easily debunkable, and yet it's just never brought up. Flu has zero friends outside his twatter orbiters, and there aren't even that many of them anymore, maybe those that are left are just the most sycophantic of them, and firmly believe any bullshit that spills from his sewer regardless.

Social media is just getting jerked off over how smart you are and how correct your opinions are. His orbiters have no reason to question him. The MSM won't expose John because it serves no purpose for them to. He is a useful enough idiot. Anyone who has the reason and ability to, such as Stephen Lynch, understand that he is a nobody and not an actual threat to them. Skated free with a $220,000 fine. The feds aren't going to throw someone in prison for starting a fire without a permit accidently. No buildings were torched and no lives were lost. A fine that is 4x the median yearly household income in my state is not enough of a punishment for John. That is how John views money.
