LOL toque vectoring is , in reality, an electronic steering assist - it basically stabilizes throttle steer and transitional forces (like when you first throw the thing into the turn)
it uses a yaw sensor to control drift angle (what they are basically looking at is the change in yaw acceleration, which incidentally is what anti-lock looks at in rotation...delta decelleration - the second derivative of the angular velocity. anti-lock, traction control, torque vectoring - they are variations on the same theme). -- yaw -- that's steering
If John was such a purist he'd drive positrac with strictly mechanical brakes and a manual spark advance like a model T
after all a distributor /w auto advance is a mechanical computer that really removes the feel and joy from the purity of the driving experience
PSSST : the gearbox is because the otto/diesel cycle has a bass-ackward torque curve. it's not inherent to driving it's an artifact of engine type
