At first I was as taken aback as you. But then my Wu-to-competence translator kicked in. What Wu wanted to say is "SDK", SDK and Android Studio come bundled in for ease of use, but there's nothing stopping you from bumping your SDK version without pulling new IDE. You can grab it by hand, or just tell IDE to grab it: https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platforms

Oh, and from what I read that Idaho app was piece of shit, designed by frontend "engineers" in React and shitted into APK. No amount of newly minted dev libraries could save it.

What is there to fact-check? I don't see anything logically inconsistent about claiming to be putting up top-10 speedrun times at home. There won't be any debunking till we get John on stream and he either fails spectacularly or cheats. (I wonder if any emulators have a "1.1x speed" option...)

The way he said it, it sounded as if it had been verified by some official body, or at least a website ... although upon closer reading, I note he doesn't actually say that. Tch. Such a dishonest twat.

I'm not into speedrunning or anything, but last month (Feb 9) he claimed to be Speedrunning the same game at 14 minutes which isn't even in the top 100.
Edit: This is even more deceptive and underwhelming since as @Norvic pointed out

The top 10 are all within like 25 seconds of each other at 00:08:xx minutes or so. I doubt he has gone from not even breaking top 100, to being in the the top 10 within a month. In a game he has probably been playing since 1988.

The possibility that he is of the skill level that he is working on shaving a few seconds off his time to go from 8th to 5th (within 3 seconds of each other) is probably nil.

It's a pretty boring video and it's actually not bullshit. But that being said I'm uninterested in being lectured by a spousal abuser and his unemployed husband. Die fuckers.

Wu's been posting super low quality videos of her "speedruns" trying to get on to the leaderboard. Example:


It's a terrible, completely unoptimised run that any real speedrunner would be ashamed of. She even dies at one point. Here's Wu's speedruns account. She's submitted a run and checks every day to see if it's been verified, but nobody has given her the time of day so far because there's no info about how she was playing, no timer, no splits or anything you'd expect in a real speedrun video.

The thing is that the category Wu is competing in, All Stars Princess Only, is a bullshit category nobody runs. There's only 33 runs total registered over the last 3 years. Nobody cares about it because it's not a run worth doing. Wu only runs it because it's princess and she's a totally real girl, you guys.

I missed the "Princess Only" part. I will edit my post since that makes it as irrelevant as the category itself.

Decomposing Wu's claims has the simplest heuristics. It's a one step process. "Has Bri even demonstrated any mastery or competence in any field, big or small, ever?". Wu Doing Something Well is the only problem in machine learning that can exhaust problem space with return false;.

You’re checking the wrong category. She said “princess” which either means all stars princess or any% princess. Still in those categories she isn’t even in the top 10 so idk what she’s talking about
