I thought this way too but look at Michelle Bachmann which John basically is. Michelle was in Congress for far too long. Once a congress critter, it’s really hard to get them out short of a sex (change) scandal.

Not long ago Wu was slamming Trump for banning Huawei phones/equipment due to "laughable" national security reasons like China holding influence over the company and now Wu is trotting out Trump's line that Huawei can't be trusted because it is controlled by the party, all because Trump eased up on them.

If John would even attempt to dress like a normal woman running for office (clothes that are actually appropriate and look somewhat professional) he's be far less terrifying to the average people he encounters day to day. The twitching and snarling will still scare the fuck out of them but, baby steps I suppose. At least they wouldn't be double terrified.
