It's such an emotional strain to put a child up for adoption that I should be able to kill it. Real sound logic Ashlea.

Wu is a fascinating liar. Her methods are calculated even if the end result is dumb or falls flat (which typically it is or does).
What is it called when a 41 year old says to 30 year olds, “well, we’re the same age, and i think [unimportant point, I just wanted to establish that I’m 25% younger than I really am}”?
Oh, yeah, I forgot about that - and always did wonder how the fuck John ended up in Colorado.
The aunt fills in that piece of the puzzle.
Some clarification about this bit of John Flynt lore - he didn't live with his actual aunt. It's from her old livejournal.
The Brianna Flynt protests the war pic was also taken in Colorado. She lived there until she moved to California with Frank.

In that LiveJournal entry, dated January 2, 2008, he says, "Right now is the far more exausting part of my end-year trek. I traveled with my aunt, who I live with, down to Arizona to see her father. He's just been diagnosed with a very serious illness, and she's trying to spend some time with him and make her peace."
The first red flag is John doesn't refer to the father of his "aunt" as his grandfather.
A petty narcissist who destroys the lives of people who work for him in pursuit of trivial and selfish gains? It does remind me of someone, John, and I can't believe we live in such a crappy society where EVERYONE EXCEPT FOR YOU is like this.
The cherry on top, proving that John has neither read the book nor watched the movie, is the startling assertion that the novel and movie are set on a submarine. Because it's easy to mistake a minesweeper for a submarine.
Seems like Wu is hitting the Ambien hard again. "This show bad" is truly profound criticism indeed.
Apparently John was wheeled out on the UK's BBC Radio 4 'Today' show this morning, talking about Google and Huawei. Someone who doesn't know John from the next pretentious pleb told me about it, said John obviously had no clue what he was talking about, and wondered why some random guy with a weird voice who isn't involved with the google/huawei story in any way was invited to speak on it.
I guess the interview might be available on the BBC Radio 4 website if anyone wants a laugh.
Fantastic work here. I think the "aunt" thing went unquestioned for so long because everyone assumed only family would put up with John Flynt. Some clarification about this bit of John Flynt lore - he didn't live with his actual aunt.
Well, he's definitely disowned at this point, but now I wonder just how that final split went down. I wonder if after peeling John off the pavement of Washington DC, Dr. Joel said something unspeakably rude like "Get a job", and John said "No way, I'm running away to join the circus ".Someone's son escaping to shack up with troons from the internet isn't that popular among parents and it causes some friction, maybe he is slightly disowned in some capacity?
Now I'm imagining Frank as a carnival impresario. This is not hard to do.Well, he's definitely disowned at this point, but now I wonder just how that final split went down. This is the circus of Dr. Wu.Now I'm imagining Frank as a carnival impresario. This is not hard to do.

Who else just crossed their legs?Every circus needs an organ grinder
You can always tell when someone fake-reads The Caine Mutiny when they think Queeg is the villain of the story. It's actually Keefer. Queeg was more a tragic downfall, a good man placed out of his depth who spiraled due to his self-doubts and social isolation. Wu would know this if Wu had read the book but we all know that any familiarity is Wu hearing a third-hand reference to Captain Queeg. I'd bet she thinks it's Crimson Tide.

Another "fun fact" Wu just learned from Wikipedia, complete with irrelevant diagram ripped direct from the page.

If by "resisted hacking attempts" you mean the precise cipher remained obscure, then sure. If by "resisted hacking attempts" you mean actually stopped people from getting the plaintext of the ROM. then I guess the wikipedia page disagrees.
from the videoBut Capcom learned from their mistakes and the CPS2 hardware from 1993 to 2007 - long past its end of life - became impossible to crack.
