There’s as much evidence as you can get for any mental health disorder that doesn’t have a readily observable biological cause. There’s just no evidence that it’s something to be treated by attempting to fulfil the delusion. It makes as much sense as encouraging people with body integrity dysphoria to have limbs hacked off.

While I wouldn’t entirely discount hormones and surgery, they should be as rare as amputating healthy limbs to treat a delusion.

Yeah, Wu's at least right that there's no way Nightcrawler has white privilege, though calling him 'functionally white' and even contributing to that discussion is deeply stupid. But that anyone would honestly be discussing whether a team counts as all-white (and therefore un-woke, and therefore presumably alt-right-adjacent and everything else) when a blue furry man is on the team is deeply indicative of how fucked up the SJW comics people are. That the lead-off is thread-haver Mags Visaggio is unsurprising.

That whole conversation pisses me off. Kitty Pryde said what she said to explain to a black person who was telling her to calm down why she was upset by anti-semitism. Applying racism standards of white vs. everybody else and then not doing so when the fictional world has characters who are green, blue and not even people but instead aliens or demons. Wu saying a blue humanoid is 'functionally white' and some other moron classifying him as 'German' because they are unable to extrapolate from their constant refrain of PoC to someone who is very definitely a person of colour, but it's just not a brown or black so it doesn't count.

The SJWs just can't do context or grey thinking, can they. Is Nightcrawler white. What a fucking stupid question.

Mutants in X-Men are a metaphor for oppressed minorities. None of them have white privilege because the world is afraid of and hates them for being mutants.

Mutants go through their mutation in their teens or sometimes later so they would absolutely have white privilege from living as a white person for so long.

I wonder why people like super-hero comics writer Mags and X-men expert Wu are completely avoiding that very established part of mutant lore in the Marvel universe. 🤔

It’s interesting looking into the people John randomly tweets at for discussions.

That Aidan Waine guy is a “human potential coach” who also just happened to work 27+ years at Microsoft as a GM. If he invested wisely he has a nest egg larger than Frank’s that John is eyeing.

Can someone cross check if Aidan donated to John’s scampaign? I bet John’s looking for more pay pigs at Microsoft too.
