She thinks it's funny. It's not uncommon for comedians to put up intentionally unflattering photos of themselves as profile pics.

It's an old meme/fad where women took pictures like that in a sort of "before and after" style.
This was the format used.

it was reasonably funny as long as the troons were weeded out, the joke about a woman looking good and then looking horrible/retarded doesn't work so well with them.

DEDHAM, Massachusetts — Brianna Wu, candidate for U.S. Congress in Massachusetts District 8, today announced her support for abolishing the Electoral College.

“The Electoral College is archaic and unnecessary in the 21st Century,” said Wu. ‘One person, one vote should be the rule, and that can be instituted by the winner of the popular vote determining the winner of the election for the presidency and vice-presidency, as it does for every other elected office in the nation.”

Wu stated that one of the main reasons the Electoral College was written into the U.S. Constitution was to avoid a president being chosen by an uninformed and ignorant electorate due to a lack of information. “In the 1780’s, communication across the nation was slow to permeate. It was understandable then. This is the 21st Century. We can communicate across the world in seconds. This justification for the Electoral College is no longer valid.”

“The Electoral College enables presidential candidates to campaign in swing states, largely ignoring smaller states,” said Wu. “Presidential candidates should campaign in all fifty states, and a vote in Alabama should count as much as a vote in Ohio, Pennsylvania, or any of the other swing states. And if one candidate receives almost 3 million more votes over another candidate, then that person should be the President of the United States.”

Wu supports both a constitutional amendment and the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC) as methods of negating the Electoral College. The NPVIC would guarantee the presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The bill would take effect when states with a total of 270 electoral votes. So far, 13 states with 181 electoral votes, including Massachusetts, have signed the bill into law. A constitutional amendment would require passage by two-thirds of the House of Representatives and the Senate and approval by 38 states.

“We need to get rid of the Electoral College as quickly as possible,” said Wu. “Since 2000 alone, we have had two presidential candidates win the popular vote but lose the electoral college. That is not how a representative democracy should work. The NPVIC is gaining momentum, and hopefully now that the Electoral College is in the public discourse in this election, it will make some progress. A constitutional amendment is possible. We have done it twenty-seven times in our history. Since 1968, polling has shown that a majority of the American people have consistently said the popular vote should determine a presidential election. The will of the people is clear.”

Wu acknowledged the difficulty of passing a constitutional amendment with a Republican controlled White House and Senate. “The fact is the Republicans see the Electoral College as a pathway to the presidency. It has worked for them twice in the last five elections. They think that Donald Trump can be re-elected in 2020 with a repeat performance of 2016 — winning the Electoral College while losing the popular vote. For them, it’s not about a fair, representative democracy, it’s about winning elections any way they can. Although Democrats are fighting to repeal the Electoral College, I think we will need a large majority of Democrats in the House and the Senate to pass a constitutional amendment. When I get to Congress, it will be one of the many important items on my agenda,” said Wu.

Finally found it for anyone interested in being terrified, Brianna Wu and her trannymobile terrorizing Massachusetts last 4th of July

I have so many questions. Why wasn't she in the car? Was run to catch up? Why didn't the Beetle with a skirt stop and let it get in? Why?

ohn is, guaranteed, one of those people who did a Dale Carnegie-style course and so makes sure to wishes he could 'project strength and confidence' with a firm handshake but he can't because he's a flabby shemale. Add in his lack of perspective and, yes, I can imagine him trying to crushing hands because he regards it as proving his worth.

Healthcare's issue is with ransomware locking out medical records. The read on any imaging you get is done by either a radiologist, who spends their entire time looking at imaging, or an ER doc, who knows how to look at imaging to assess critical issues before a radiologist gives it another read.

This is just bullshit from someone who doesn't have an understanding of healthcare beyond having their dick cut off and being treated for addiction.

Agreed. And the state actors who have the resources to target and subvert specialized equipment like this would be focusing on crippling the power grid or making centrifuges spin at the wrong speed. Not making malware that sneaks tumors into your X-rays.

Imagine the RUSSIANS literally hacking your BRAIN (John is completely safe tho)

Imagine a doctor pulling up the charts for a patient and it says the patient is a woman... but he's sitting there and he's obviously a man. Did hackers get into the system? The man getting surgery for fake brain cancer probably lived and identified as a brain-cancer-haver at that point so what gives the surgeon any right to say no, we won't cut out parts of your brain, this is not who you are.

Wow, did the cyber security expert miss the catastrophe that was Wannacry? That was an example of malware wreaking havoc on the medical industry on a massive scale. No tumors, just ransoms and an interesting story about how it was resolved.

By the way, John, what are your SANS or CompTia cert numbers? (You know... The entities that govern this sort of expertise thing.) Can you even name which ones you’ve taken, or anything that would actually qualify you for even entry level sys admin work? Most people are proud of their qualifications and include them in their bios and on their business cards, instead of a blanket “cyber security expert.” That alphabet soup shit sort of matters in that industry.

What qualifies Brianna Wu, congressional candidate, to call themself a cyber security expert?
Would sure be a shame if no certs could be found.

Surely a security expert of this stature could just shut you up by liking to their CVE submissions. I bet the Wu submitted plenty.

Any amount helps for John's facial reconstruction surgery

That chin implant has definitely slipped way out of position. And the cheek implants would make a chipmunk jealous. Just gruesome.

But to be fair, whoever tarred the hair in place did an excellent job. As did the photographer who avoided shooting from John's bald side.

How the fuck can he deliberately use this terrifying picture?

I wouldn't be surprised if John sneezes at some point and all three implants just fly out in a bloody Cronenberg nightmare on live TV.
