Being the born leader you are, I assume you'll 'lead by example' on this by making a sizable donation to your local school district's art programs. As usual, John's tweet is nearly incoherent. I thought at first he was saying that his birth family abandoned him then readopted him soon after. What he actually meant was he was in West Virginia briefly before his adoptive family (whom he would later walk out on after blowing hundreds of thousands of daddy's dollars) made the error of the century and picked him.

It's odd that John is making such a big deal out of this fictional adoption, since his birth mama is likely to have at least some vague memories of delivering a ghoulish, male crack baby.
If he were adopted, John's Virginia birth certificate could have been falsified to reflect that his adoptive parents were his real parents and that he was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, rather than in some hellish holler in West Virginia.
What wouldn't be falsifiable is the birth report in The Virginian-Pilot newspaper. Those reports come from the hospital. Some Kiwi operative needs to track down that microfilm and print a copy, although it's quite possible that John and his trusty razor blade have taken care of that little problem at the newspaper's office and at every university that has the paper in it's archives.

It's one of Wu's oldest lies if so, but that doesn't necessarily make it the truth. There seems to be a pattern of Wu fabricating her past going back to her post-DC enrolment at 'Ole Miss where she told people she was actually from DC, and that she got stabbed in the head and had amnesia. How much further back than that her falsehoods go we'll probably never know.
What always struck me as strange is that Wu's family would choose to adopt at a time when their life wasn't settled. Flynt the elder must have known he wasn't going to be a career Navy officer, so you'd think if adoption was something that they were planning to do then the time to do it was after he'd served his hitch and found a place in civilian life. Also, everyone I've known who have adopted as a community service, rather than as a means of acquiring children they can't have biologically, have also fostered children as well. It just doesn't fit with them also having younger, presumably biological kids.
