Do you think there's some way in which she actually believes this? That she thinks her experience producing revolution 60 qualifies her as a software engineer despite the game being all Kismet and Unreal Script with not a single line of C++, and Wu wasn't even the one who did the programming? Does she think writing a shitty fanboy article about Metal makes her an expert, or just informed enough to get away with bullshitting if she were ever called on it?

I mean, she made terrible 3D Bratz dolls scripted into a "game", so that's not nothing but sure as hell nobody sane would claim any expertise with that portfolio. Can't play for shit, but it makes noise if you hook it up. @Smaug's Smokey Hole posted a deconstruction of Wu's 3D objects; it was amateurish as fuck.

As for being expert in OpenGL and/or Metal, lol, no. I don't believe Wu would be able to hand compile a "Open Window with a GL surface" tutorial with a gun against her head.

I think anyone who interacts with Brianna for a significant amount of time eventually realizes how pants-shittingly exceptional she is but, for various reasons, no one will say a word about it. In a couple of those cases, like former GSK staff, the feeling I'm sure is that they are still wary of repercussion from the Wus for daring to destroy the Brianna Wu character. But I think a good portion of it is that she's remarkably lucky to be pulling all of her bullshit at a time when you aren't allowed to question the experiences of "harassment victims", especially if they are trans. Even if she doesn't identify as such, anyone with a brain can tell Brianna used to be a dude and it's almost career suicide to attack a trans person's credentials.
