There are two possibilities here, John.

The first -- and the one I believe to be true -- is that you are lying in service of proving your bona fides as a "witness to the terrible things men have done". You are cynically exploiting the current moment by claiming unearned victimhood, knowing it will gain you attention. This is a continuation of "John saw firsthand as the KKK ran amok in his grade school".

The alternate possibility is that you are telling the truth, that you have actually "seen some shit" and you are refusing to call out the perps. If what you say is true, then you must be refusing to name names out of fear (of damaging your 'brand', if nothing else) -- which belies your self-proclaimed status as a latter day Boudica. Name the names, or it didn't happen.

You are either a pathological liar, John, or you are a "good German", an enabler, and entirely complicit in the crimes you are accusing others of doing.

It's called a hyperurbanism or a hypercorrection, and it's very typical of people who want to pretend to be educated without having actually got an education. They want to sound more correct than anyone else, and in the process they fuck it up. What a surprise that Brianna Wu would do this.

The media did kind of out John by posting that horrific bra strap photo. No one could possibly look at that photo and think " yeah, I believe that to be a true and honest woman".
