I don't want to get to macabre about it, but her "holy fucking wow" moment will be the day Frank retires/dies and the 6 figure income stream suddenly vanishes into thin air. No more designer electronics, no more sports cars, no more vanity projects.

John also conveniently neglected the absolutely shameful treatment of the winner by the crowd (who, by the by, was not only female but Asian). To Serena's credit she put her arm around her and tried to settle the crowd down, but what you had here wasn't a bad decision but a fading player pitching a tantrum over being dethroned. The only reason to defend Serena Williams right now is if you're a total starfucker.

Apollo was literally 10 years after Sputnik. Mercury and Gemini preceded the Apollo program. Once again John doesn't know wtf he is talking about. Alan Shephard was the first American in space as part of Project Mercury. Apollo 8 was the first time anyone orbited the moon.

While also being oblivious to (or disingenuously ignoring) the contributions of the black women mathematicians who worked behind the scenes at NASA, as detailed in Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly and adapted to film in 2016.
