Given this is Wu we're talking about, who pretty much is shuned by that clique because of how much damage to the SJWs they caused by existing, I think they're a rare exception to the 'women devs can do no wrong' narrative.

Nice to see that despite getting his ass handed to him in the election, brave and stunning John still has the energy to mansplain/transplain how women need "structural support" and "infrastructure" in order to win. I guess he's saying that he was marginalized and someone should have provided him with a staff of hundreds, including a hair stylist (getting your hair done is hard, you guys, and men just have it so easy!).

That's the reason, but I wouldn't necessarily tie it to progressive politics (although I assume the effect is stronger for left-leaning voters). Female names, especially if there's only one on the ballot, often receive a slight boost.

Upon further review, I may be totally wrong here.

Looking at other contested Democratic primaries with an incumbent in Massachusetts Congressional districts, I find that Lynch's numbers are not out of line with the averages over the past eight years. Joe Kennedy did better, but come on, it's Joe Kennedy. Richard Neal did about the same as Lynch.

Richard Neal, in all fairness, also had a real challenger that actually campaigned and isn't a 6'5" snarling ghoul.
