That time when John was a fucking sperg.

What was John’s first tech startup at 19? Was it the failed animation studio or something new?

John is probably lying about the chronology as usual, but this would probably be his "animation studio," Socially Unconscious.

John was actually 21 or 22 at the time, though.

It's funny how many times Wu keeps bringing up the "fact" that he had a tech start-up at 19 as some kind of impressive feat. For one, he never mentions the name of the company, what it did, and basically anything about it other than "it existed please be impressed".

For another, it's only about $100-$200 and filling out some paperwork to create a LLC. Anyone can do it. It's only an impressive stat if, you know, you had any real business accomplishments.

I'd really like to know the name. Based on Wu's personality he won't tell us because it either failed immediately due to incompetence or is just a flat out lie that he made up because it makes him seem smarter.
That and of you looked it up (and it existed) you'd have proof that he was a man (as if you needed it)
I also want to see his bullshit excuse for why he can't just name the company he keeps bragging about.

Except John had $150,000 of his parents' money which he blew through without accomplishing anything at all.

As @AnOminous stated earlier, the company was likely Socially Unconscious Productions and John was lying about his age (among other things). With SOCCON, we have the bankruptcy forms somewhere (I think they're on the Lolcow Wiki).

Lol, oh yeah! The one where he got a massive loan to start a 3D animation studio that he still fucked up despite the money!

I'm not certain that what we have are formal bankruptcy papers. As I recall it, we have the documents in which John's parents dissolve the company and state that it has zero assets -- no hardware, no software, no intellectual property, no copyrights, no nothing. It's almost as if $200,000 vanished up the noses of John the Swindler and his no-talent pals.

You know, that's an excellent point - where did all the money go?
The part about "no assets" is actually the most suspicious part. Supposedly they were first animating, then gave up on video and switched to audio. Are we to believe that Tech Toys John didn't outfit the SOCCON studio with every fancy "animator's workstation" computer and software known to man, a soundproof audio recording booth, those 1940s-style stand mics, a mixing room behind a glass window because he saw one on TV, and so on? How could there have been "no assets" at the end?

I bet SOCCON had SGI Indigos because that's what they used for the Ultra 64

Yeah but John knows he can get away with the lie because no one will dare do actual journalism and look into it and his other lies.

She keeps calling herself 40 when she's older than that. 19 is probably the proper timeline to make her 40 now.

Wu never traveled or spent money on clothes or real estate. The $200,000 either went to drugs or food. Was this the period when she was 300lbs? Maybe she just ate it all.

Either John needs to look up the definition of salacious or he is for some reason informing the Twittersphere that he is not sexually aroused by the sight of people being shot to death. While the former is more likely, the latter would be good news for Frank.

"Political decency has died", do you suppose that happened before or after everyone was cheerleading a scamming cockless minotaur with zero credentials running for office?

"I teared up" is a specific phrase John breaks out exclusively when he's hopping on bandwagons.

There's something gruesomely hilarious about John's obliviousness in screaming about political decency while climbing onto McCain's coffin.

I'm sure he was all starry-eyed about the Hanoi Hilton in 2008.
