"I do agree that it is increasingly hard to feel respect for people that support this fundamentally corrupt party."

As if anyone gives a single shit about having John's respect. In what hypothetical world would this occur?

If it's true that this attempt was a dry run for 2020, with both Brianna and Frank understanding as much from the beginning (as claimed by Warren and supported by the 2020 domain name registered in 2016), I wonder how long the break in ebegging will last between campaigns.

It's also curious that we haven't seen any major claims of harassment. I think we all accept some of Wu's GoldenGirls claims were self-originating, so why no phantom Lynch supporters throwing rocks through windows?

I wonder if the possible break will be planned and deliberate or if it will look like a break because Wu just forgot about hustlin' or straight up ignored it. There's even the possibility that he won't "run" again, registering the 2020 domain and setting his sights on "doing it for real" in the future shouldn't be seen as intent to do better, it's his way of pushing things into the future so he doesn't have to bother putting in any effort today. This scampaign isn't a training run, it is the best he can do, and the only way the whole operation can be improved for the better would be if the candidate changes. But Wu, Wu never changes.

It's true: you're a goddamn idiot for not knowing this from the beginning.

I think she's still using the GamerGate lies, so doesn't need to make up new ones. They still seem to work for the people who have uncritically accepted her narrative.

I also suspect her lies require at least a tiny nugget of truth for her to build on, and so she'd need an event to wildly exaggerate from the Lynch camp, and they've shown themselves to be quite happy to completely ignore her.

:offtopic: "Tech culture" doesn't even translate well to tech workplaces outside the startup scene, let alone local politics.

This thing Wu has about startups "hiring novices and learning as they go" is such bullshit. You only have to look at Wu's record to see how that works out. Socially Unconscious Productions shipped nothing for its quarter of a million budget. Giant Spacekat I suppose did a little better in that they actually shipped something, but it was complete dogshit. Startups can't afford to hire people that don't know what they're doing, that's for big companies who have some slack in their budget to bring in young people and train them. This is all about Wu's serious issues about having anyone more competent than she is around her who might expose that she knows fuck all.

Another thing, I don't really know a huge amount about US elections. Does this floating class of professional campaign staffers actually exist the way Wu seems to think they do? I've read a few political memoirs and it often seems like they're hiring friends or family members to key roles at least in campaigns, though ethics rules mean they can't be hired on as permanent staff in Washington.

Looking back on it, I really can't see what Wu lacked for success other than charisma and a decent work ethic. Granted she had no local standing, but she had some standing in the national media and it seemed like at the beginning people were prepared to at least give her a chance. She just fucked it up time and time again by being lazy. Seems like she's trying to find some excuse as to why she failed other than the reality that it was entirely her fault and she needs to buckle down and work if she ever wants to win. If she's really going to run again in 2020, she's going to fail even worse because she can't confront that reality.

I mean, I guess “programing the game so badly it struggles to function properly” could be considered “pushing the limits”...

If you all don't mind, I have a question about Wu and Flynt being the same person. I don't understand why Wu/Flynt would have to hide being transgendered in 2018, as trans people get more protection and support than ever before and it's generally acceptable to be openly trans. In 1988, perhaps it made sense to hide that, but in 2018 it makes less sense. In addition, given Wu/Flynt's position as an SJW, you wouldn't think that they would leverage being trans for oppression points which would give them more attention than hiding it.

My question then is, if Wu/Flynt could serve to benefit from admitting they are trans, and the costs are less than in the past, why would they continue to deny it? I feel silly for asking this question, but it's just something that doesn't quite add up to me if anyone can offer any insight or theories as to why this is.

It's true John, the House of Representatives has locked out the common people, such as those average Joes who are able to blow half a million dollars on vanity projects while never working a day in their lives.

John only julienned his cock in his thirties. If he admits to being a tranny, the narrative about having grown up as a TRUE and HONEST marginalised gamer grrrl/space camp commander/self-taught automobile repairman etc etc etc is completely fucked. It also retroactively exposes him as a total fucking fraud in a way that no amount of mental gymnastics will resolve in the minds of his asspatters (although they will try by golly).

She's got a serious mental issue about being seen as anything other than a woman.
It's not even that admitting she's trans has low/no penalties, in Wu's milieu it would be an active benefit if she admitted it (See Alexandra Chandler.) This is all about Wu's serious mental issues surrounding gender.

Because John Flynt didn't want to be trans. He wanted to be a real girl. The whole Brianna persona revolves around it.

His fantasy is being a Mary-Sue, not a Gary->Sue. He’s also staked a lot of his past as being a “girl” growing up in MS and being coronated Queen of Spacecamp, and has staked political claims based on being a biological woman (implying that abortion regulation has any actual relevance to his personal life, etc).

Well, according to Warren, a lot of the people she did meet with earlier did advise that this first campaign should be more about her making local connections and getting her name/message out there to build to a more focused, prominent 2020 run. Fortunately/unfortunately, Wu is an idiot and has the social graces of the ghouls he's been compared to as well as a complete inability to accept advice.

No, not really. There are professional campaign staffers out there but they tend to either work for actual consulting firms (which will charge a huge rate) or are concentrated to the DC metro area and are savvy enough to not attach themselves to lunatics with no futures like Wu.

To add to the responses everyone else gave, admitting to being trans also means admitting to being John Flynt - a thrice-failed college dropout with a history of substance abuse and failure.
