I take it his company doesn’t have the usual ban on political talk and campaigning for donations.
 
Wu is featured in a New York Times article today about harassment women face when running for office. Predictably, Wu is the odd one out, being not-really-a-woman, not actually receiving very much harassment and not even really running for office in any meaningful way. The video has her reading an email from a "Tom" which you have to concede the bloke has a fair point, her hair is always dishevelled and her glasses are scary. Here's a downloadable copy of the video in case anyone cares.

The real highlight of the piece is this photo though.

I guess it must have been taken during the abortive canvassing photoshoot. Wu is posed as if to say "Can you see my dignity? Where did it go?" and she's completely unprepared to actually do any canvassing. Bonus points for anyone who finds on google maps exactly how far that was taken from her house. Pretty sure that's somewhere on her street. (Edit: Also those Dutch flag pin badges she had made. Hilarious.)
 
Dunno if its been brought up before but has anybody here seen the 80s slasher movie Sleepaway Camp?

Its kinda ok in terms of 80s slasher movies, basically a girl called Angela and her cousin go to a summer camp wherein the predictable array of people start getting killed off and the cast tries to figure out who is doing it and why. In the end it turns out
Angela was the killer and also a boy who was forced by his batshit adoptive parent to pretend to be a girl which combined with the abuse from other girls at the camp caused him to snap and go on a spree

Reason I bring this up is because the fairly iconic last scene of the movie which reveals this ends with this shot

...which combined with the spoilered story detail makes me wonder whether this film was secretly Brianna Wu's origin story.

I'm taking a glance at this autism now and Christ Jesus, at about 4:40 the MCs start introducing the moderator and John snarls to his right for a good 3 or 4 seconds uninterrupted. That doesn't sound like a long time but it's a fucking epoch as far as a social interaction is concerned. Just try it in front of a mirror or when you're alone and it'll feel awkward as fuck just imitating it when no one is watching. Oh to get into the heads of the poor people exposed to this abominable disaster.

I honestly wonder when someone's just gonna ask Bribri what the fuck he's doing in response to getting snarled at. I wonder what the explanation is. I wanna hear it straight from the horseface's mouth.

If he doesn't, the dog will kill itself out of shame for being associated with crazy troon creature. There are some things even robot dogs weren't designed to handle, and John is one of them.

John has checked out. He checked out a long time ago but it’s clear he’s done with the scampaign. This failure is going to hit him hard but I’m sure spending tons more of Frank’s money will help take the edge off.
 
These are some snarls and freakish gurns.

These aren't picked from the whole video but just from a few seconds after 4:40 in the video. They're all separate snarls. John snarls every few seconds. It's disturbing.

@ 37:00 in the she geeks out vid is when she’s asked what’s going on in her district. She sidesteps the question, but it doesn’t stop her from calling her district “weird” and some sections are “rural poor”. She also says how humble she is and how people in Boston don’t like people who are full of themselves.
