Wu's FEC filing is here.

She raised very little, and the vast majority of that from a couple of pay pigs.
Most of the money went out on paying staff who now no longer work for her according to Warren. Seems like her campaign basically ended when the last of her minions quit. I think she's mostly saving the money so she can get the 50K loan back when she loses.

Frank got one of his co-workers to pony up a grand :lol: What a way to poison the workplace.

EDIT: and that $1000 donation was on 8/14, a whole month since the last time the Wu campaign spent a single cent. What a cynical cash grab.

It's bad enough when one of your coworkers turns out to be a Shaklee seller, but imagine working alongside Frank and one day he turns to you and opens his mouth really wide, excitedly, and blurts out (spittle flying in all directions with each word) "How would you like to donate to my trophy wife's political campaign? She's totally awesome! She has a Porsche, man!!!"

And that's when you realize you must have made some very shitty life decisions indeed, to have ended up in this moment. Shaklee would have been so much better.

My God, I'm watching the beginning of it now and there are DOZENS of snarls in the first couple minutes alone. This is insanity.

I'm wondering if the snarls are actually his attempts to smile. Did the butchers that worked over his face scramble some nerves or something?
There are a few pics out there of John for-real smiling though so... I don't know. I just don't know.

EDIT as I continue to be transfixed in horror: check at 3:21 where everyone gives a polite laugh at the speaker's little joke. Everyone smiles but John snarls.

If it's not a physiological quirk of his facial muscles, the other speculated reason for the snarling is that he's trying to do a simultaneous smile and short laugh, aka the "open mouthed anime smile".

Nah, it's not a laugh. Go to 4:46 in the video and he just sna-a-a-a-arls at the lady in green and holds it for a few seconds. The poor lady looks away, looks back, and he's still snarling :lol:

I'm almost tempted to get a Twitter account, simply so I can send that to Wu under the guise of supporting the LGBTQ community, just so we can see Wu congratulate Ms. Chandler through gritted teeth.

While I'm not a fan of clickbaity syndicated "content," I think this image is the closest thing I've ever seen to capturing that conflict between how Brianna Wu sees herself and how the world sees her.

How is it all these idiots look at hulking 6'5", balding Wu and see a real woman? There's some kind of special blindness going on here. Even without all the background detail about her "urinary tract defect" it should be obvious, but somehow these people are oblivious.
 
This livestream is gold. I've never seen such a socially inept idiot given so much honest camera time. I'm five minutes into the introduction - there are four women and John in front of a room full of people. Two women are standing and giving the introduction to the livestream, and John and the two other political candidate women are sitting in chairs facing the audience. The two women are talking to the room full of people, not the candidates, but John is gurning all over the place and clapping like a re.tarded seal. He's nodding and bouncing around in his seat as if the two women speaking to the room are speaking to him personally.

What's most fascinating is the way he keeps preening, and looking out at the audience after he snarls, as if he's expecting people to respond to his actions. This isn't the first time he's been seen doing this - he's done it on tv before, too. It's not a smile, because he smiles perfectly normally (for a weirdo) between times. It's not nerve damage or anything subconscious either. John is actually gurning and snarling because he thinks this is the socially acceptable way to respond to someone talking.

I'm all for people of varying (dis)abilities being encouraged to play a role in the political system, but would you trust someone as obviously socially inept as this to be your representative? A massive part of politics is negotiation, trust and respect. How can you negotiate with someone who has blatantly no clue of how to act towards other normal human beings? It might be different if John had a long history of political successes and grassroots level behind him, but he has none of that. Essentially, he's a guffawing posh twat with a raging case of autism and tourettes who has a power fantasy about being a female President. Seeing him sitting in between two very capable female political candidates only shows him up for exactly the impostor he is, and it's an insult to the other women there that he was treated as being on their professional level.

I'm sure the reason more people don't call him out for his bullshit is the same reason many people don't call out obviously crazy troons - because they're unhinged men in dresses, and any big, ugly man that's crazy enough to wear a minidress in public is crazy enough to cause an enormous (possibly even violent) scene if you don't just quietly go along with what they want and then get out of their way.

Doesn't mean that, in the privacy of the voting booth, they'll put a cross next to his name in an election, though.

Edit: 50:37 if you want to see John forget how to sit when wearing a minidress (made worse by the camera being directly opposite him). I eagerly await @Judge Holden 's horrorshop of Wu's Sharon Stone moment.

This is evidence enough I could never be a talk moderator/interviewer. People who are not visibly struggling to contain laugh or an eye-popping "what?" face have the nerves of steel.
Would any of you, seeing a snarl in person, be able to stop yourself from going Plinkett and stammering:
