Yeah I was about to say that Wu's idea sounds very similar to a certain President's concept for an immigration system.

But according to Wu they're different because of the little (R) next to said President's name
 
I'd rather have an illegal immigrant than Brianna Wu. Can we deport her instead? She talks about how shitty the US is on a constant basis, so why no replace her with a hard-working Mexican who will at least contribute something to society with their labor?

I don't think he was really serious if he only bid $1000. Probably just fooling around to see if it's possible to luck into a deal on an unnoticed auction.

EDIT: and what's with all the bids ending in "986"? Some autistic quirk or is that how much allowance Frank gives him?

The 986 is a Porsche boxter. No idea why Wu loves those things they are not great cars compared to 911, etc.
 
I don't even know why he asks for an explanation of the plot when the traditional John method of "assume this piece of media validates my current worldview" will be what he ultimately goes with.

Wu fancies himself some 90's club kid/raver and the Boxster was common among euro-twinks and ditzy chicks. It's also the only one he can afford so it's automatically the best one, he's pretty much running on exactly the same mentality as the kid that had the less popular video game console in the 80's/90's.

The film is "The Hate U Give", based on the book of the same name, which is pretty much FuckDaRaycissPolease.txt
The synopsis can be boiled down to "What if the fat hatian girl from the zimmerman trial had been there to see Michael Brown shot, Michael Brown had actually dindunuffin, and the cops acted out every black accusation."
But it does get props for actually bringing up the retardation of BLM burning down the black parts of town in their riots, so there is that.

The novel is targeted for Young Adult audiences, and has become a must-read for the Woke crew; since they haven't mentally matured past 16, they are actually able to read & follow it.
