Why is it that every single lolcow I follow has had the same reaction to Kate Spade/Anthony Bourdain - which is going on about how angry they are that everyone isn't reaching out to them more to help with their problems?

I mean, I know - narcissism. And I know that depression can make it impossible to actually ask for the help you need. But it's startling just how many of these people's response is to just post and retweet that the true problem is that their loved ones aren't constantly trying to make them feel better in the way they need, mind-reading for the times when they'll actually listen and take any help offered rather than all the times they dismiss or ignore any such offers.

But maybe people with actual depression react differently than people like Wu, and Becky Gerber, and Jake Alley do - people who aggressively use their 'mental illnesses' (usually self-diagnosed) to try and get asspats, money and to manipulate people's behaviour. Maybe you're more likely to be angry at people for not reaching out to you in the proper manner if you're not trying just to survive, but instead trying to demand obedience from the well-meaning. Or from, in these examples, people unfortunate enough to care for you.

Yes, post it. Only you can prevent a 6th Reich.

It's fun to play the How Will Brianna Make This Tragedy All About Her? game.

At first, I thought this was an old post because Wu says everything he produces is "the best one ever" until the next one. Brianna is incapable of just saying "I did something" with having some self-congratulating bullshit included.

Also, what is this speech for? Brianna doesn't have anything going on and, if he had been chosen to speak anywhere, he wouldn't be able to shut up about it.

I love how John has to tweet out his 'words of wisdom' in response to every single media spectacle that comes round, and it's always with some bullshit anecdote he made up on the spot. I suppose it's an effort to seem more relatable and human and not so much as a sort of malformed creature skulking about.

It's not working.

I heard that the dastardly @RepStephenLynch was just in Lebanon and met some of the troops stationed there, but no doubt he was actually selling away the heart and soul of America to (((regional leaders))), am I right John? How many vets have you met with, anyway? Any pictures showing how proud you are of their service?

She is such a terrible writer. Unecessary details (who cares that she was running on the Cape? not the voters of district 8 that's for damn sure). There's no connection between any of the thoughts. She almost never posts any real facts or figures that might be part of a coherent argument. What proof do you have that we don't do enough? What would you like to do instead? This is just a collection of words that's supposed to be heartfelt, but my main wonder is why she's taking a jog on a Cape Cod vacation while Warren's self-flagellating for not filling out enough endorsement paperwork.

Wait, yesterday she tweeted that she was giving the best speech of her life "tomorrow." Today she's on a ferry to Cape Cod? Is her speech on Cape Cod?

Maybe he's just ranting on the ferry, hectoring the fish.

Is her speech on Cape Cod?

That would be utterly hilarious.

The summer people are just starting to head to the Cape.
So right now it's fisherman and blue collar workers (and the totally underpaid international workers) who make summers on the Cape possible are the main population.

The perfect crowd for a speech from Wu.

After having just come back from a week long vacation in California no less. I'm sure that when July rolls around we'll find that the campaign coffers paid for that little jaunt too.

It's utterly bizarre how Wu never says what events she's doing. We get the completely irrelevant detail that she's written a speech that she thinks is really good, but if you were in the mood to hear it good luck trying to find out where it's being given. Every other campaign's social media is absolutely filled with notices of upcoming events and photos of ones they've just held. With Wu you just get the impression she's sitting at home doing nothing which, come to think of it, she probably is.

Nah summer people are all down there now. The season starts about a week before Memorial Day. It's a beautiful June weekend and route 3 is a traffic jam as we speak. The key issue is that Cape Cod isn't in her district.

Most of her donors aren't either. Cape Cod summer people have money. That's what she wants, not votes.

It's almost the opposite of when she was doing regular con appearances or college speaking commitments. Sure, she'd stretch the truth on those or outright lie about which college she was speaking at (like that time she tried to say she was speaking at the University of Alabama but was really speaking at some fourth tier regional Alabama college in front of a dismal crowd) but Brianna always wanted people to know she was speaking at an event because it gave her an ego high. Not advertising the couple of campaign related appearances she's actually done gives the impression that she's afraid of having more people show up to these things.

Wu couldn't find any sane living veteran that would willingly meet with him, so he had to go with the dead ones.

"I wish I could stand up for LGBTQ pride but I'm too busy taking a fucking vacation even though I have no job"

LOL "I can't be in two places simultaneously."

Hey, I heard about this neat thing some political campaigns have... volunteers. Since you're trying to make hay with your assertion that Stephen Lynch literally tried to murder LGBT people, you'd think this would be a key demographics. You could have spent 500 bucks on graphic design and printing and sent a couple of volunteers in your campaign t-shirt to the parade to raise some awareness.

You could have done that, but you only found out about the parade from twitter trends, didn't you?
