What is the purpose of him reeeeing over no federal laws existing for swatting? Swatting breaks state laws and they would prosecute the shit stain that called it in for sure.

He doesn't know what he's talking about. Obviously the feds could pass such a law, but the state can extradite in these cases. It's more a lack of resources than a lack of laws. Swatting probably should be specifically outlawed at the federal level, but it's not insurmountable.

There probably do need to be both local and federal anti-swatting statutes, mostly because it's a novel theory to charge someone who does it under existing laws, but that moron from Kansas who got that guy killed seemed to do just fine with a manslaughter charge.

Why? Making a false police report is already a crime.

The fact that you can use the police as your personal instrument of assassination is entirely a problem with the way police are trained and how they respond to crime reports. If they weren't all a bunch of tooled up yahoos with itchy trigger fingers, swatting wouldn't exist.

Yet somehow all three people involved in the CoD-related SWATTING that got a guy killed were charged less than two weeks ago (charged the SWATTER, the guy that told him to do it and gave him the address, and even the guy that was intended to get SWATTED but gave an old address).

John's lack of self-awareness is the gift that keeps on giving. Last I checked he was a three-time college dropout, had an income (well, Frank's income) that put him in at least the top 5%, and chose to spend that money on toys rather than the down payment on a house.
