I doubt Wu is skimming money, at least not directly. My best guess as to how Wu handles the money is that it all goes in to her personal bank account and she buys whatever she wants with that money. Then at quarter's end she goes through all the receipts and decides what to list as a campaign expense and what is purely personal. I doubt she's ever kept proper accounts, which is why the figures are constantly fluctuating with every new revision of the reports, it's also how we get things like random bank charges, missing actblue fees and sometimes potbelly sandwich and uber binges.

To be fair to John, this is also how I do my petrol expense claim.

I see how much I've spent on ebay, how much I need to claim to cover it, and work backwards from there.

Nah. She has a compulsion to brag but a need to appear humble. The end result is nothing but tone deaf posts, such as those where she likes about the cost of her vehicle and insist it was a wise choice for replacing a supposedly totaled Honda.

She waves to be the woman of the people, but she can’t help herself. Bragging makes her feel good.

Have him be replaced as defined in the constitution by Pence who would be even more frightening because where Trump is an incompetent buffoon that the GOP itself doesn't entirely support, Pence is an entirely different beast who is all but chomping at the bit to wage a policy war against the gays and transgenders of America.

This is the thing that truly baffles me about her "impeach Trump" thing.
She's openly admitted she is aware that Pence would inherit the presidency, and that he would directly target people like her. Why do leftists so badly want to replace an incompetent moron with pure, calculated evil?
Because Trump is a warmonger? Does she sincerely believe Mike Fucking Pence is not in favor of firebombing anything east of Italy? Does she think he's not the kind of guy who sees military action as a go-to solution? Because his record speaks otherwise.

I think Wu and others in positions like her screaming for the impeachment of Trump are mostly doing it to fleece people at this point, but some also hold onto this hope that whatever they nail Trump with will be enough to bring down the whole administration. . . which, at this point, still puts a Republican in the White House. It's just a lot of aimless anger and screeching with a few trying to make a quick buck or get some publicity out of it.

I think it's more about being eternally salty that Hillary didn't win on account of the mountain of evidence Trump is an absolutely horrid human being (which if we're honest has only increased in the past year) then it is actually having any legitimate interest in who gets to be the big man in the White House.

If it had been Bernie who got the nomination instead of Clinton and somehow still lost (not saying he would have won, just illustrating a scenario here), I guarantee the screeching leftists wouldn't nearly be as angry over Trump's election.

Reason 5,074 that Flynt/Wu flunked out of the journalism program at a third-tier diploma mill in Mississippi: He thinks stealing other people's work and rebroadcasting or republishing it under your own brand is not only legal but ethically commendable because doing so ensures that it will reach a wider audience. Copyright laws are another oppressive tool of the patriarchy.

Agree. It's an anyone but Trump attitude. Which ignores the fact that although Trump may be a buffoon surrounded by evil people, he's not actually the worst case scenario president. I don't know if Pence is, but he's closer. Trump just wants money and fame. Pence wants the Handmaid's Tale.

There's some classism going on, too. I have friends who think Trump should be impeached. I tell them Pence is worse, and they say that at least he acts presidential and is dignified or some shit like that. Just because he's not a tacky cheeto and probably knows how to use a fish knife doesn't mean he'd be a good president.

I think Flu never quite understood the point of a bibliography or even citing your sources.

Also reminds me about a passage from I believe the first Foundation book, where some visitor to the fledgling Foundation claims to dabble in 'archeology' but then essentially explains all he does is try to find errors between what previous people said about a subject and does zero original research of his own.

Pence pretty much IS the worst case scenario right now specifically because of that. Trump has no real idea what he's doing beyond constantly nagging Congress to build his dumbass wall.

Pence actually is a skilled politician with an agenda and worryingly near-fanatical devotion to the Christian faith and the bible to the letter. If there was a way to upend the separation of Church and State, I believe Pence would find it.

To say that Wheaton has reached peak soyboy with that endorsement is an understatement. Not only is it profoundly disappointing, but seeing his stamp of approval is actually repulsive.

And it begs the bigger question of -how- he came to support this joke of a campaign, because they really aren't in the same circles, at all.
