It's been said a few times, but Lynch knows that Brianna is a nobody, of interest only to small groups of radicals and the occasional internet forum. He's quite aware he can bury her simply by refusing to acknowledge her, because she's not big enough on her own to warrant addressing.

And this fucking infuriates her, fellow kiwis. Make no mistake, she's fucking livid about it, and mentioned it during that Wolfenstein stream. If there's one thing she can't handle, it's being snubbed, and Lynch refusing to indulge her antics is a slap in the face to her. It's a direct violation of her self image as the so called "Godzilla of Tech Feminism", an important and influential woman known to everyone.
Think back to the time she lost her shit on that plane, the whole "My name is Brianna Wu. Do you realize you just spilled soda on me?!" bit. Her entire self-worth is based around being known and feared, and to have someone destroy her just by ignoring her like a petulant child is driving her insane.

She's losing because she's such a nobody that she needs to beg for her opponent's attention just to have a chance to be in the fight at all, he knows it, and is refusing to enable her bullshit.
I think as things come to a close, we're going to see a lot more of these pathetic attempts to lure him into a fight.

As much as I applaud Man of the People™ Stephen Lynch for rightfully not engaging Mr. Flynt, I do wish that he would come out an body slam John the day before or day of the election should he make it on the ballot. I guarantee someone reasonably high up in Lynch's office, something like Deputy Chief of Staff whatever position they might hold in the campaign, is well aware of exactly who John is. Congressional offices I am familiar with vet the online presence of even constituents who call in with an issue they want the office to look into. They want to know what kind of crazy they might be getting into when they engage with someone. There is a much gossip in politics as an old lady stitch n' bitch circle. Everyone knows everyone else's business. Federal, state, local. Even if nobody of note within Lynch's staff dug into John, someone lower would have been asked to look into it, or would have just done it out of curiosity when they saw how deep the rabbit hole went, and then would have ran it back up the chain.

Everyone in MA democratic politics knows who she is and is watching the trainwreck go down. The people who like to snark are having a field day sending around pms sharing the crazy shit she does, and the people who are more serious just want her to go away. A friend who works for another member of congress was horrified when I said she thinks she's running a real campaign: my friend said that everyone in their office thinks it's just a giant trolling joke for publicity. I assume that's what Lynch's office thinks too: all these aides and campaign workers are friends with each other.

What I meant was that I'd bet money that someone in the Lynch camp knows full well who John Walker Flynt is and at least some account of his history, not just that Brianna Wu tried to have a man killed in order to get out of a street race.

It's a dark and wet night somewhere in California. Lightning flashes, concentrated around a ball of light that soon fades away and reveals a naked Brianna Wu. The audience becomes unruly, some are shouting. Wu stands up and try to walk away like a bad ass, still naked so bad ass is on full display. The audience has started to riot.
His autistic male gaze locks on to a group of young women and as he's getting closer he seizes them up and approaches the tallest one: "Give me your clothes, now." She declines so she and her friends get brutally beaten while the Wurminator shrieks "Don't you know who I am?" The audiences' rioting intensifies.
 
@Jaimas our best guess on Evelyn is that they existed at one point in time but:

1 - probably never legally changed their name to Evelyn.
2 - probably did not live in Boston.

Other than that, this Evelyn person is a fucking ghost, man.

Just looking at his Twitter feed, John claims this "Evelyn" was a "close friend" of his and he killed himself at 19 years old in 2010 because of "cisgender hate." While there is no mention of this alleged friend's name on Twitter until after Gamergate in 2014, a suicide of a nameless friend was mentioned in July 2014. There do not appear to be any other mentions before this one. His story has also flipped in at least one detail, he had claimed an unnamed NPR host had made "transphobic jokes" a week before the alleged suicide, recently he sperged about the same host and said the jokes were made afterwards.

I think I would concur with @LordKaT's analysis that this person was probably real, and John has embellished and uses the story for his own gain, such as claiming "the family" was totes cool with John supposedly writing blog articles and posting the photo, and that he has shook hands with the NPR host and had to pretend he wasn't chimping out, etc..

You posting that just basically pieced it together for me. I found what I'm pretty sure is the truth of this, and before you ask: Yes, it does make Wu seem worse. I'll post it in a few minutes.
 
Is Wu really going to leave her FEC report to the last moment yet again after what happened last quarter? The laziness and stupidity know no bounds. Expect another panic as Wu can't get the filing software to work this weekend and makes Frank waste his time writing a paper report and mailing it after the deadline has already passed.
