Agreed, she managed to min-max the GG autism storm very well IMO.. Because she managed to get the most money with least amount of effort or personal details revealed, unlike Zoe or John. And she still appears to be the most respectable (& hireable) of the bunch.
That's why I'd say that of all the victimbux chasers involved in GG, she is the smartest by a country mile.. Case in point, she didn't prove to be lolcow enough to have a thread with unforced lulz.
Her problem is that her influence is still very localized to the gaming industry alone when she wanted to take her scam to the next level. This is because there are already many people doing her schtick in the TV & Film scene, so the playing field is more saturated than gaming..

And the media attention from GamerGate gave her sham nonprofit more than $400k in donations in 2014.
She's mad that her fanbase is dwindling now but Anita benefited more from forcing herself into that drama than any of the other professional victims embroiled in it.

Disagree. What value is there in "producing" things to these people? That's not what the game is about. Do a google search for her and read everything that comes up on the first 5 pages. That's her value, companies know that people who see that they are working with her are going to do less research than that and see nothing but glowing editorials about how brave she is.

Depends on how you look at it.
The Autism Holy War that is GamerGate has stained even the people who profited on it with a pidgeonholing that seriously undercuts their attempts to branch out into other areas.
Anita before GamerGate was still marketable for basically anything that needed a photogenic mouthpiece, but GamerGate resulted in so much drama and dirty laundry she'd rather stay buried getting dug back up that anyone who wants to hire her as a mouthpiece knows they are gonna get a ton of drama and autism even if they do genuinely think she's a good front woman.
In that respect, GamerGate has cast a massive shadow over anything she does afterwards, and that will be a problem for her, especially if she wants to divorce her brand from anything having to do with it later on.
If she doesn't mind that and whomever fronts her paychecks is willing to deal with that, then she still has some market value.

She was given a large sum of money to produce content. The content was underwhelming at best.
Big players pay attention to this stuff.
There was also the disaster of a U.N. hearing.
Noone of worth would put any trust in her.

They don't want her to produce anything. They want her to sit on diversity boards so that when someone accuses them of being meanies they can point to her and say that they're "making strides to increase representation" and that sort of bullshit.
ETA: People seem to think that the goal of people like Anita is to trick employers into paying them. That's not true, the goal is to work with the employers to trick the average person.

Apart from the UN debacle, I don't see how GG harmed her reputation beyond what problems she already may have had before it.. If anything, it enabled her to better monetize things..
But how much dirty laundry did GG uncover on Anita specifically? Not much if you compare her to Chelsea or John, the fact that we even know those of those two's birth names speaks volumes on the mountains of dirt that were uncovered on them.
Plus a lot of sordid & seedy details were uncovered in the case of the latter 2 that make them simply unhireable. (Chelsea's stripper days and her involvement in online abuse, or John's drug addiction and incredible lack of qualifications).
On the other hand, Anita is really more or less in the same state as when she started, maybe a few hundred thousand dollars richer too. Her problems in transitioning to other entertainment forms have other factors into them apart from GG, though I agree that GG's partially responsible for it.
I think that you are correct here, the real money is in continued collaboration with entertainment companies as a whole.. Whether that is in consulting for them on an hourly basis on how to build better, non-problematic female characters, or outright getting a job as head of diversity or some shit like that..
She is not as toxic or unemployable as John or Chelsea because she mostly kept her nose clean and didn't get involved directly in the autism wars, so there's no real dirt to speak of.. And the hurdles in front of her employment prospects didn't really increase that much, as much as pro-GG people would like to believe..

She got a paycheck consulting for at least EA, the whole thing amounted to her showing up for a day to bless whatever game they were working on. Promotional photos were taken and circulated to the games media, the whole thing was just a PR push.
She also had some decent speaking engagements at colleges/universities that must have paid more than whatever Wu gets to blabber about jace to an empty room in Winnipeg.

Yep. The closest thing Anita has that is a black mark in her past is that telemarketing video and loose connection with some handwriting prediction scam, but none of that really stuck like Wu and Quinn's closet skeletons. Anita tends to keep all her collaborators at arm's length, so when they become a liability, she can skedaddle with the least damage to her. When the UN thing blew up in her face, she quietly and quickly cut ties with Quinn, who ended up with the most egg on her face. When her fuckboy Josh started going off the rails, she dumped him so stealthily, it took a while before anyone noticed. Anita also keeps her interactions with troons to minimum, preferring to let other people play liason for her.
While Anita's salad days of 2012-2015 are behind her, she still came out smelling like a rose compared to Wu and Quinn, who could learn a lot from her.

That's practically a certainty. Part of what allows Brianna to even still get speaking appearances and why so many of them are in such D-list venues is because he charges a very low fee. It's not like he really needs the money when he has Frank.

Following Wu has really helped me become much more sceptical of the media. It annoys me that they continue to publish Wu's completely unverified assertions. She's planning on running a campaign that actually knocks on peoples' doors, eh? How? She has no volunteers, no system set up to target people. What's she going to do, download the voter rolls and go and knock on the doors of half a million registered democrats by herself? Should have started a decade ago, then.
