Right, none of this is normal. Raising funds, learning how to please constituencies, gladhanding, speaking in subtleties, curbing your tongue in public, being a sympathetic ear, little tricks to remember names when you're dealing with vast groups of strangers while trying to garner their support ... not one bit of all that has been an element of democracies since the Greeks, or anything.

Of course if you asked John what the demos is, he'd probably sperg out in hilarious uninformed fashion about tech demonstrations.

Wu, who would have us believe she runs her shitty "ads" past a lawyer before putting them on the internet, doesn't realise you need a license for a public performance of a TV show if you're going to throw the door open to random members of the public.

If it were a major sporting event she could probably just shell a bunch of money and get one, but for Star Trek it's impossible.
