I'm tempted to believe he was institutionalized for his behavior at Mississippi State or on orders from his parents and started telling everyone it was rehab later.
It's more an application of Occam's Razor based on the evidence that nothing John says should be taken at face value:
John got into college because his father was an alum donor IIRC, so his father could get word through the grapevine of some of the bizarre shit his son was doing and would, rightly, freak out over it. There were also legal circumstances where it may be necessary to parlay institutionalization, like where he violated a restraining order at the university paper.

-A racing game designed to be a DLC platform with literally half the content of the previous one
-The fourth installment of a lackluster grey-brown cover-based shooter about giant angry gun men that wasn't that great when it first came out, and has only become more tired since.
-A legacy franchise with a long running fanbase that has been gutted of everything that made it unique, and has now been reduced to "Uncharted, but with tits and a less interesting story".

Narcanon is the church of scientology different from narcotics anonymous which is related to alcoholics anonymous.

Alcoholics anonymous is also a religious cult and the program is about as effective as no program. It's own founder cried and screamed for alcohol on his deathbed and is actually something of a historycow. Some people do use it to get clean though I can't deny this.

There's low cost and very often need-based free drug rehabilitation services provided by states usually, especially in one that collects the tax revenues that Massachusetts does. You just need to want to get clean and get some help to even start to look into them.

Why are they acting like this is a big deal? It's painting 101. You apply putty to fill in gaps, you sand to smooth, you apply a couple coats with brush / air brush, sand once more, and then put a clear coat over it. Fat 12 year old nerds do this with their warhammer figurines and moms do it with their craft projects.

The things they don't do, is do any final painting outside where fresh paint that needs a glossy smooth finish will get covered in dust particles and grass clippings and shit. I can't wait to see that side panel a slightly different shade of black than all the rest because they grabbed the first can at Home Depot that looked right.
