Briefly, Wu is full of crap because she doesn't really understand what the SMTP protocol is used for. SMTP is the protocol for relaying mail between endpoints. There are problems with the base SMTP protocol in as far as spoofing mail is concerned, but these have largely been fixed by protocol extensions for sender policy and inter-relay mail signing. None of these fixes involve "two factor authentication", which seems to be the only noise Wu knows to make when discussing security.

No, I think she makes a fair point.
With SQL having the vulnerabilities it does, it becomes increasingly important to incorporate GUI integration into SEO optimization in order to streamline the dialogue regarding TCB. You're leaving a lot of people with an improper understanding of the role DDF plays in LTR and LFG when you look at this through such a narrow lens.
As Bri points out, HTTL focus is increasingly a factor in any legislation regarding HTTPS and LOLWTFBBQ, and I think that deserves due consideration, particularly with regards to DTF and DDLG support, and the broader implications thereof.
SMPT is likely to become one of the deciding factors in ongoing discussions regarding HIV and QWOP support, and I think her drawing attention to the praxis that exists here is perfectly valid.
To summarize, PTO is worth talking about, even if she's the one who has to say it, mostly because NAMLBA is really the deciding factor if we're to embrace PDF supported action.

First, assembly language is the term he's looking for. This brings us to the third fundamental misconception, evidenced by Wu not realizing that you only really want to use assembly in small, niche applications where nothing else will work because it is very hard to get right and, more importantly, very hard to keep right as development progresses. Modern projects get very complex very fast, and you need a way to handle that complexity. That's part of the reason why AGILE, SCRUM, and any of the other acronyms Wu throws around exist, to help manage the complexity and deal with the inevitable challenges that arise from it. It's part of the reason why writing maintainable code is what employers hire for, not writing marginally faster code using arcane hacks that nobody else can read after you change projects or leave the company.
The fact that Wu, after publishing Rev 60, still knows nothing about the complexity monster should be a clear demonstration of how much of a rule he played in its development.

Not just Roller Coaster Tycoon 1, but 2 and Locomotion after that. Chris Sawyer is an... eccentric man.

The benefit of continuing to use some x86 assembly specifically in games was because it allowed the programmer to circumvent the proper routines of an action performed by a high level programming language like C++, writing things entirely in assembly language is nuts though.

And there's some greeeasy instructions left in the x86 ISA, use them right and things gets rad. Inline some of them into your C++-code, compile, run and Stroustrup wakes up in his bed crying and he just doesn't know why.


Whatever Wu is saying about Metal is wrong, I have no idea wtf Metal is, but it's just a hunch,
I'll try to do a Wu though, not knowing about something, refusing to do research, but still writing about.
As an uneducated guess though, Metal seems like a response to games and 3d becoming big on the iOS platform. iOS devices like iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad uses a graphics processor from Imagination Tech. Their graphics hardware is great, but it is(or at least was) pretty different in how it operates compared to most other graphics hardware.
So on the firm basis of having done no research and read nothing I've deducted three things, and also a fourth thing:
* Apple wants apps using 3d and stuff to be able to better use the resources available to them.
* Imagination Tech creates and licenses their GPU to Apple. It's a good GPU suited for mobile hardware.
* The only line of GPUs ImgTech creates uses tile-based deferred rendering on a hardware level, this is unusal.
* The name MeTaL was a vendor-proprietary API for graphics accelerators almost 20 years ago.

Hm... OpenGL ES or whatever Apple used might not have been the best fit for their oddball GPU, so they create a new one specifically for their own group of devices. So Metal is a vendor-proprietary graphics API, perhaps.

Run a marathon (42km or 26 miles) in less than two hours, which is pretty fucking hard as any marathon runner can tell you. We know Brianna used to brag a lot about being a runner and honestly, I believe her. She's got that lanky, gaunt physic of a runner, just with the flab of a middle-aged man thrown on top. It's fair to assume that Brianna was a runner, but never as much as she claims. She's nowhere near a 2 hour marathon. Her body would probably fall apart trying to complete a half-marathon.

Yeah, some rando at one of hundreds of protests is the most iconic image of the last 40 or so years. Truely, when kids are studying history in the future The image of guy throwing thing will be on every syllabus in the United States and abroad, right next to the world trade towers, ISIS executions, the Obama and Trump inaugurations and literally anything fucking else that happened in 2016 alone.

How would you even go around integrating TFA on an SMTP? You get a phone call everytime an email gets sent from the server? Imagine the fucking ballache if you worked in an office and emails were your primary method of communication. If I wanted a phone call everytime I sent an email, I'd just pick up the phone and speak to the person.

Not only that, which server would trigger the TFA? It wouldn't really work on the sender's SMTP, and if it's on the receivers it requires a database of everyone's contact details on every SMTP on planet earth. I'm sure that will be secure.
