Seriously. Even amateur politicians know enough to get photo ops when out there kissing babies.

Please don't give it ideas

Johhny doesn't have a ROM reader or any real interest in collecting older games. It's just more signalling for "gamer cred".

A quick reverse image search shows those pics came from a game mod'ing community page

It's just John being John.

Does he really think we won't catch him? If not us, someone else will.

I'd imagine a good show: John's opponent shows him the exact same ROM reader, a computer, an NES cartidge -- and tells him to extract the ROM on the spot.

Today is #AlienDay, a good a day as any for John to completely alienate his voters!

But at least he's not nearly as big of a space cadet as goat fucker @RepStephenLynch, who has irrefutably proven his degeneracy by associating with niggers. What the fuck, Steve!

my least favorite Alien movie is Resurrection, because that's the one John is in.

Brought to you by snopes. gotta combat right-wing misogynist politicians with girl power!
I like how they don't even bother citing their claim that GamerGate is a "harassment campaign". While Kotaku and Polygon were direct about making one-sided reporting of GamerGate company policy, I don't see the snarky jeers or high-profile blocks working for Snopes.

I feel like more mainstream lefty media outlets just decided that gg is a harassment campaign. look at Vox's coverage: here i would almost say they fairly cover the main issues, or at least lay out the facts while claiming that harassment was a part of it. meh. this other hit piece on the alt right though just says the following:

utter trash. but the reality is just that this is pretty much the face of gg outside the gg community. expect it to be a never debunked talking-point that Wu will harp on if she does start to campaign.

Let him. Anyone who ever gave a crap about GamerGate with an ounce of realistic thinking capability already knows the very people who most need to admit they are full of shit never will, and all but the most masochistic tire of trying to make them.

Considering this is the same fool who goes off about moon rocks and can't resist being an idiot on Twitter every five to fifteen seconds, he can run that into the ground all he wants, it will do nothing to save him from his own idiocy.

I can see it now, the ghoul slowly rolling through district 8 in a riced out 2001 Audi TT blaring Goodbye Horses. Parents hastily yelling for their children to come inside, doors slamming shut, curtains quickly drawn closed, and lights going out as Brianna looks for victims constituents.
Blue Apron will sell you lamb's blood to paint on your door for when Wu passes through your village.

If I had a baby and I saw a leering monster like John lunging at it, I'd put him in the ground.

Wu's narcissism really astounds me. I'm not an expert on these things, but in about 2 minutes of minimal brainpower usage I've come up with a few things I'd do before I even dreamed of running for local government, let alone broadcast my intention to the world.

First steps would probably be getting yourself known in the local politics scene:
  • Attend some meetings of the local branch of whichever political party appeals to you most, get a feel for the people there and the work they do.
  • If you like what you see, sign up for some volunteering opportunities said branch usually offers e.g. posting newsletters/pamphlets through doors, canvassing, working a phonebank.
  • Organise to speak to your local representative in private (in the UK MPs usually hold 'surgeries' once a week), maybe ask if they need any assistance/have any jobs going, offer my services for free. It would be valuable experience to learn from the person who is doing the job you plan on doing one day.
  • Basically try to make it as likely as possible that you will benefit from nepotism and cronyism.
Then a few things to familiarise yourself with the local population, and also become familiar to the local population (as well as making yourself look good).
  • Volunteer at various social organisations in the area, to better understand the least-privileged's concerns and connect with the people you are going to be working for.
  • Volunteer as a Teaching Assistant at a local school, for the same reasons as above.
Only after at least a few years of this mixture of politicking and being a productive part of my community would I think about the possibility of running.
