Whoever said that "fungible" was John's word of the day was definitely on to something. I've noted it before where he'll say something that makes complete sense and then follow it up with an example that nearly always contradicts or has nothing to do with the point he's trying to make. It's almost like he found the sane talking point somewhere and then tried to relate it to something he found in his cross-wired synapses without actually having an understanding of what the prior talking point actually meant.
For once he seems to have managed to connect the talking point to an example that is relevant but that could be a coincidence as he's been hashing up the old tired sexism in tech stuff for so long I guess statistically he'll eventually use it as an example that makes some sense.

I'm baffled how even John can be this dumb. Does he think that Trump went and asked for the Massachusetts congressional delegation's opinion before attacking Syria? When it comes to opposing the Commander-in-Chief exercising his lawful authority, a freshman congressman "doing everything in his power" amounts to precisely nothing.

Not sure what he means by "in tech" here. If he's talking about research and development, it's probably more liberal on average due to the influence of academia. But I don't think it's at all in Wu's interest to point this out, since it means the narrative of a dang dirty alt-right Gamergate conspiracy keeping down TRUE AND HONEST women like him falls apart.

The UK is full of "Brianna wu the car mechanic", it's usually someone in a shitty modified car hanging out around McDonald's or Halfords.
Powerlevel: I've had to drop the gearbox out of a mk3 golf GTI 8V (their gearboxes are notorious for fucking up) twice without an engine hoist, and I still wouldn't consider myself a car enthusiast.
